My memorable Christmas was 1956. I was 9 years old. I wanted a Barbie doll and a white bible. I got my Barbie and my mother made me an entire chest full of outfits. I was overwhelmed! It had been a financially hard year for our parents so the love they put into our gifts meant so much! Happy holidays to you, Teresa.

Thank you for your video. It's great to see you again. Always enjoy my visit with you. I know you've been crazy busy. Loved seeing your finishes and WIPS. The car stuff was crazy, typical crap happening this year. This year, what a crazy time we've had. All I can say is thank the good Lord for stitching. It keeps us sane! Take care and happy stitching!

For many years as a child, I played a role in the nativity play at the little country church our family attended. The church passed out little boxes of mixed candy to everyone who attended. It's a Christmas memory I hold dear to my heart.

My most favorite Christmas memory is when I was a young girl, Santa would bring me a new doll! Then we would go to my Grandmas house, have lunch & then open presents. My Grandma was a wonderful seamstress & I would have a box full of clothes that fit the doll Santa had brought! She would make dresses, pants, blouses, dressy dresses, jackets, etc! It was wonderful & I always looked forward to it! Teresa, you absolutely need to take Sunday's off & relax, do what you want to do, and reenergize! I'm proud of you for doing that & you should never feel guilty about it! Have a very Merry Christmas!

All my Christmas memories that I love and hold close to my heart are of my children when they were little, coming down stairs and seeing all the presents under a beautiful tree, all the excitement!!! Now there’s, the grandkids which is just as fun . So happy to see you again, it was a long time.

Hi Theresa, Love your story about chocolate covered cherries. Our oldest daughter was born on Christmas Eve. She loves chocolate covered
cherries and peppermint ice cream. We decided that because she was born at Christmas, she automatically loves this stuff. We still make sure she gets these lovely treats. She turns 40 this year. Sorry your son will not be able to get home for Christmas. Thank you for helping stitchers get through this year.

A meaningful Christmas memory is hard to choose since so many came to mind. One was driving around to look at lights with my family. I have continued this tradition through being single and now married with grand children. THis year should be really good because I hear people are decorating more, so looking forward to our evening drive.

My favorite memory of Christmas is me and my siblings sneaking downstairs on Christmas eve seeing all the gifts under the tree gigling, laughing and counting now many presents each got. Then we would fall asleep under the tree with the beautiful lights and pine smell dancing in our heads.

My favorite memories are of secretly watching my kids on Christmas morning. Our house had an open stairway that looked out over the living room where the Christmas tree was. My husband would get up and plug the tree in about 4 am so we could see the fun. Seems like yesterday, but was about 30 years ago!! Love love watching your videos, watching your cats, hearing your stories and how you can just be your serious or silly self. Also love how easy it is to use your online shop. Merry Christmas!

My favorite memory is from the past at about age 6. My Mom opened the front door about a week before Christmas so we could see the fresh fallen snow. Who do you think was just walking down the street? Santa! He came right up the driveway & came inside. My younger sister & I had about 20 minutes to talk to Santa all by ourselves. When he left he walked back in the same direction. It was the best surprise ever! Years later I found out it was the neighbor who was scheduled to go to the boy scout Christmas party. He was Santa every year.

I enjoy watching your videos - the singing, the kitties, the "What I'm into.." - after your last video, I bought some dark chocolate raspberry squares😋. I learn something cross-stitch related every time I watch. Thank you for sharing your tidbits and knowledge. One of my favorite Christmas memories is when we spent Christmas in Colorado at my cousin's home in the mountains. We were able to go tubing and take a sleigh ride. It was wonderful! So excited about the success of your business. Hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Happy Stitching!

Oh so happy to see your video come up, and I so appreciate you sharing your time like this. I’m always amazed at how much you do and I and many millions of other people acknowledge you as a huge important part of the cross stitch community. You’re truly an amazing person!
My meaningful Christmas memory is from when I was in grade 5 and finally earned enough money to buy my family some Christmas gifts. It was so little money even for back then but I remember buying little tiny nativity scene figures for ten cents each and I was so proud to give one to each of my family members. I gave my mom the best one which was baby Jesus.

My favorite Christmas memory was singing and playing piano in the Christmas Vespers program at my high school. It was totally "off book", and rehearsals began in September. I didn't realize what a lifetime impact that would have, because I have used the skills I learned in church and secular performances ever since. I am so grateful that our choir director, Mr. Luckenbill, insisted on such high standards; what a gift he gave us!

Thank you for being here. I got very excited when I saw the notification about your video. My favorite Christmas memory was probably the year my mom bought me a whole bunch of craft supplies like popsicle sticks and cotton balls and let me do whatever I wanted on a card table. I created a snowy Christmas scene completely from pipe cleaners, cotton balls, boxes, felt, sequins, etc. It kept me engrossed for days and I was very proud of it. I have to hand it to my mother, she let me childishly decorate our house for any Holiday. The year I learned to crochet I covered everything in crochet chain garlands 😂. Thanks for asking.

We are tearing down kitchen cupboards and painting... ugggg BUT while Christmas decorations are still packed away I’ve had the best time stitching, listening to Christmas music, helping hubby when needed and thinking of all the wonderful memories I’ve stored in my mind but never really took the time to think about the memory. I want to be sure with years to come, to take the time to remember the kids being small, my wonderful in-laws who are no longer with us, my mom and dad hustling to make Christmas the best... I’ve enjoyed this time in spite of making the decision to not put up decorations but rather enjoy the real meaning. I’m truly blessed!

A memorable Christmas memory(s) is every year my uncle would have each of us kids to a song, dance or poem to get our gift. It was fun as we would actually practice for it. Thanks for the mag offer! Memory Christmas. I went to Catholic school and so did my kids, I totally get your school Christmas pageants. My memorable Christmas moments were singing carols with my dad. He was an entertainer and would leave the day after thanksgiving to go to the nearby city to entertain the children dressed up as the dickens carolers with his other musician friends and he would stay in the city until Christmas Eve then he would come home with surprises for my brother and I. He would sing to me “I’ll be home for Christmas “ before he left for the city. He has since passed away and I cherish those memories with all my heart ❤️

Always always great to see your video; you are so upbeat and informative. I have so many wonderful Christmas memories. One thing really sticks out in my memory. My dad was driving our family to a friend’s home for a Christmas Eve and birthday dinner for my mom. She had made the comment to her friend that no one really celebrated her birthday because it was the day before Christmas. So Shirley had an elegant dinner for us and then we all went to church. This was probably 1973. Mom and Dad have passed, but I am still friends with Shirley and her husband, Jack. ❤️

My dad always made a big deal of Christmas and filled our farm yard with lights. Well, I asked God to please give us one more Christmas. I snuck out to look at the Christmas tree and mum had put all the presents underneath. Everyone was asleep but I sat there just looking at the tree and I just remember this intense excitement about Christmas which exists still and I have tried to pass it on to my children. But I will always remember that night and treasure that feeling.

Theresa, your video is a holiday gift because I so appreciate your thoughtfulness. My elementary school did the same type of musical in the spring. All of the classes participated, and we performed for three nights. Our teachers each chose outfits for their class from the Sears catalog. Our parents then had to order our size dress (girls) or pants and shirt (boys). We sang and learned some choreography for our number. (No need to include me for the magazines because I subscribe.) I just wanted to say thank you and Merry Christmas!

A favorite Christmas memory of mine is when my sister and me were in elementary school. My parents bought us bicycles with banana seats. What was so funny about this is my Dad assembled the bicycles and put them in our family room behind the couch covered with a blanket. Well, we never peaked!! Honestly we didn't even try.. My parents loved to tell the whole story. Tried to keep the story short here. Just thinkng about how many times we walked up the stairs past that blanket bundle Amazes me even now that we didn't touch it.
    Merry Christmas 🎅

I am the same as you in regard to not taking pictures when I'm experiencing something special like a vacation etc. What I do wish I had taken more pictures of in my life are the everyday things, like what it looked like up and down my street, the cars, the clothes, when I walked out of my door every day or went on local errands, so I could recapture the sense and feeling of what it was like back then rather than rely on distorted memory. I'm 60 now and when I was younger in the 1960s and 1970s I didn't realize how much things change, how different familiar places would look, no longer have a feeling that all the little environmental details create.
A meaningful Christmas memory for me that immediately popped into my mind is of making Christmas cookies and baked things with my kids when they were children and teens.

Merry Christmas to you and yours, Theresa! Thank you for sharing the Russian Tea recipe. I had this once in college when my folks had recently moved to a small town in Louisiana. One of the ladies my mom met at church stopped by at Christmas time and dropped a basket off full of homemade goodies, including Russian tea. It was wonderful, and to this day, I think of Ms Ana Mae when I see a reference to it. I will certainly be making this tea for my husband and me this Christmas season!

Oh my all time favorite Christmas memory... Santa AKA my mom left pajamas outside the door every Christmas Eve. Well one year my step dad and I were watching a Christmas movie and we heard the door bell ring we looked out side and didn’t see anyone so resumed our movie, door bell rings again, again we saw nobody.... finally a violent knock was on the door !!!! Many years later I found out that it was my mom delivering our Christmas pjs she had been standing outside in a snow storm trying to get us to open the door. She loved Christmas

So glad to see you again! My most memorable Christmas was went my sister and I were sitting on the steps very early in the morning (probably about 1 a.m.) looking over all the wonderful gifts Santa left under the tree. I looked at her and said "Mommy and Daddy are Santa Claus, aren't they?" She admitted I was right. I was crushed but It still was the best Christmas ever because I think I got everything I wanted!!!

One of my most memorable Christmas memories is when my daughter was a baby we lived in Florida but I was born and raised in Michigan where my entire family still lives. We didn't have the funds for travel. It was a very sad time for me as my daughter was only 2 months old and I felt very isolated from my family. As a surprise to me, my entire family pooled all the money they would normally have spent on gifts for each other and sent it to me to buy a plane ticket home for Christmas. They told me their gift this year was me being home for Christmas and being able to meet my new baby. Being home that Christmas was the greatest gift I have ever received. One memory that cracks me up about that trip home was my daughter ended up sleeping in a dresser drawer because bringing a bunch of baby stuff on a plane is virtually impossible, and a drawer was a perfect size to tuck her in safely. It was a great trip, one I will forever treasure. Merry Christmas! Thanks for sharing and happy stitching!

All Christmas's are memorable for me because Christmas day is my birthday. One of my most memorable Christmas's not related to my birthday has to do with my sweet Caroline. She was supposed to be singing Christmas carols with her per-school friends in the church. She stood there with the group and did not sing a single word. One year later they begin singing and Caroline is singing louder and more animated than anyone else in the class. it was hysterical!!! I'll never forget it. What I regret is not getting it on video.

So glad that you are back and sorry that your son will not be able to spend Christmas with you this year. My most memorable Christmas was when my son, the first for both sides of the family was almost 2+ . Grandpa had the whole Christmas planned with Santa and all, he went out side and threw pebbles on the roof and of course, that was the reindeer bringing Santa. Grandma entertained my son to distract him. ao "Santa" could sit in front of the fireplace with a huge bag of toys. My son, was very quiet for about a minute, then toddled over and look at Santa, sat on his lap, pulled off the beard, and a "Grampa!" was screeched. He wasn't fooled, much to "Santa's" regret. A merry Christmas to you and yours.

My favorite memory is from my childhood: my parents were both immigrants from Germany, so they held to their German traditions. They set up our Christmas tree on the 23rd or 24th each year, and we were not allowed to see it until after church on Christmas Eve. We would have dinner, hear the Birth of Christ story, and sing Christmas carols in our dining room, then my mom would go into the living room to light the candles on the tree (yes, real candles), and then my sister, brother and I would be “herded” into the living room to OOOH and AAAAH over the tree and decor. I miss my folks!

Love your videos! When my sister and I were young our mother would sew us a new outfit for Christmas which we would open up on Christmas Day. Prior to Christmas she would have to try it on us to make any alterations or hems so she would blindfold us, make sure we couldn’t see, and put our outfits on us. We were always so excited! Our dad always thought Christmas was too commercialized. He didn’t object to my sister and I getting gifts, but didn’t want any himself. The only gifts we could get him were chocolate covered cherries and peanut brittle.😁❤️

Midrise skinnies are the best thing that ever happened to me 😁. I’m short waisted, thick in the middle and have proportionally skinny legs. I feel like my day has finally come in the jeans department 😁😁. Also, my mom used to make Russian tea with real tea and she even freshly squeezed the oranges and lemons. I remember her making it in a big pot on the stove and the whole house smelled so delicious. Only tea I’ve ever liked. Good tidings❄️☃️🎄

So great to catch up with you!! Covid has been great for designers and shop owners. Have to try to find some good in all the bad! I have plenty to stitch ....probably for at least the next 50 years!! Lol
I'm excited to see Autumn Winds by BBD! It should be here on Wednesday according to the tracking number. You really did send it out super fast!
I hope you have a great Christmas despite Harrison not being able to come home. I know it is sad not to be with your kids during the holidays. This year we are spending Christmas in Buffalo with our kids and grandchildren. The first time in about 6 years that we are all together.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year😊❤

My memorable Christmas memories include hanging my grandfather’s stocking on the mantle for our Christmas stockings. There were six grandchildren in the family which meant a lot of his socks were used. And asking to sleep under the tree but never getting to do so, but now as an adult I understand why they didn’t let us. I miss those Christmas vacations.
