With the collar I can't keep my dog's weight and every time he pulls it can be a big problem, I've tried with trainers the slip lead, prong collar or similar but my dog doesn't care about feeling pressure and keeps pulling without listening leaving serious damage to his neck, so we're working with the harness and I'm seeing small improvements

when there are stimuli that are too big for him, for example dogs that are very close to him, he no longer listens

Where? Are they legally required? That's some dumb lawmaking.
You can go about this in a way though.
Put the dog on a harness and get a slip lead. Put the slip over the dogs head.
To the handle of the slip lead you attach a carabiner which you can attach to the harness on the dogs back.
Now you can walk your dog on a short slip lead trough busy areas and when you want to give your dog some more space to sniff, you take the slip off its neck and now its just attached to the harness only.

Very interesting. In the other hand, I don't mind using a harness since it is supposed to be better for their neck

@@frankstarship6381 a harness is fine if your dog is great at loose leashe walking and not reactive. If your dog is a puller however or reactive a harness will only make them pull more.
Look how police dogs are held back on a harness, the pulling from the back causes then to react more. They do it specifically for that.
