Did you really just say that V never goes out of a certain range? I hope I heard that wrong. He literally has the widest range of the entire group. He is also known for having stable vocals. His music loves are jazz and R&B, and that's why his own music reflects that (so far)...but he can literally sing whatever you want him to sing. He himself said it - that the options are unlimited as far as what he can and will sing in the future. He said that he has always wanted to make a jazz song, and he thanked ARMY for supporting him so that he could do that with this song.

Kim Tae Hyung is an artist in the best sense of the word. Love the creativity and storytelling. One V in the MV. You have to catch the subtleties. The V mark on the sculptures. V the artist creates a sculpture of himself so perfect and so beautiful that it comes to life. V the sculpture does not realize he is not real and he thinks he is the sculptor who brought the female sculpture to life. The real V comes back to pull the red jacket V out of his fantasy hence the tears with the slight smile of acceptance.

Winter Ahead holds the biggest debut for a jazz song in spotify history 🔥🔥King..the teary eyes and vulnerable expression... the subtle villain smirk... the aura... ACT KIM TAEHYUNG !! I'm speechless. I don't have words to describe this masterpiece that Taehyung has made.! He sculpted a woman, embodying his softness, kindness, and innocence. This creation led him to a realization: it wasn't about the woman but about his own self. Ultimately, he found peace in his reality.! I remember RM saying in one of their BE-hind stories: "Kim Taehyung the man who rejects what's normal" and this really shows how unique he is..

SHE was HIM 😭 the sculpture was him!!! KIM TAEHYUNG'S MUSIC isn't just simply music, it's a whole fxcking novel! crying with tears in his eyes is art and he did it effortlessly!! The same mark on taehyung , woman & the sculpture showcasing how he conjured up everything ,The dark persona reminiscent of this fact
And what stood out to me most was how perfectly Taehyung emoted the moment of realisation . Just brilliant !! the moment when realization hits taehyung. none of it was real. a fantasy inside a fantasy, dreamt up by a solitary artist who confronts himself at the end. and as he cries, he also smiles. because even if false, his dreams were still so very beautiful. and he was so happy. the version in front of him bleeds from a cracked head and we see glimpses of cracked sculpture heads in his workshop. this too is him then. both are him. none more real than the other. the cynic and the romantic. the darkness and the light.

It is a winter song, not his yearly Christmas song, but it does have a chrismassy jazzy vibe to it, “White Ch” is his Xmas song this year. Yes he felt the X on his neck and realized nothing was real. The girl, dancers, red jacketed V and even the V in black were are sculptures, it’s about loneliness, like a beautiful ghost story. Watch “Stigma” by V, see him hit them high notes, most baritones don’t hit falsettos, but he can, he just choses to sing in the tone he’s comfortable in,. In the Greek myth, disenchanted by immoral females of his day, he wishes for his ideal woman and fashions his sculpture reflecting more of himself, which judging from Taehyung’s ethereal outer beauty, a female version of his features would be as stunningly beautiful as he is handsome. It’s hard to miss that in FRI(END)S, he has a tragic end from his lonely timeline and with a female partner, but at the end is face to face with himself again in V’s dreamlike life, and Kim Taehyung’s reality.

@@blueberryj4351 actually my information about Pygmalion came from news articles, not Bookish theories. It's a fact that the story was the inspiration. Taehyung is a fan of Greek mythology and actually said he wondered if Zeus was really that powerful; was Aphrodite really that beautiful? When asked in an interview who he would like to see, instead of choosing a historic figure, he responded he'd like to see the characters of Greek mythology.
Please don't over simplify any of Taehyung's work. It is always multi-layered and complex. The man is a genius. A truly creative thinker and always outside the box. Don't try to limit the meaning of his MVs. Also, please understand that art is intended to evoke many different responses and will mean different things to different people as everyone has a tendency to filter things through their own personal experience. You are entitled to believe what you see in the MV, but your assessment is one of many possibilities. Taehyung is the guy who chose to reel in a fish when others were pretending to cast a line. He was the one who chose to pop an imaginary top, when others immediately pretended to drink. Taehyung is different on many levels. Don't expect Akum's razor to be the best way to define his thought process and vision. With his creativity, it is more likely to be the most complex answer that is closest to his intended message.
BTW, the word you are looking for is message, not massage. Two very different words with very different meanings.

The guy (Jody?) who said it was his favorite new V song was the most accurate in his understanding of the story. Some of you guys are way off on a couple of things.
First of all, the story is based on Pygmalion of Greek mythology, who was a sculptor who created a sculpture of his ideal woman. In the story, she is brought to life and he marries her. That was the inspiration of the story, but parts of it are Taehyung’s artistic license to tell his own story.
He has said that V is his persona who only lives on the stage, but when he steps off the stage, he is Kim Taehyung. It’s the real man who enters at the end, returning to the house after a car accident, and it is then the creator, confronts his creation.
It’s a very deep statement on his duality between the man and the performer. His realization that he is a sculpture brought to life is a moment of incredible acting on Taehyung’s part. He experienced fear, sorrow, realization and acceptance in a matter of seconds as seen in his eyes and facial expressions, proving he is a natural and deserved the best actor award he received for Hwarang back in 2018.
For those not able to dive deep enough to understand the story, please just listen to the audio and appreciate the music. On its own it’s a beautiful romantic song for cozy nights by the fire . The MV is a work of art and not to appreciate it is a sad state of mind. The cinematography and the acting was superb. Taehyung’s creative vision is next level thinking and the music was the perfect score for the film.
For the one who said he always sings in the same range, you have seriously missed out on the best of his work. Taehyung has the widest range in BTS. He has used nearly 4 octaves of his range in BTS discography. His self-written song, Stigma, is legendary as it showcased his incredible songwriting, composing and performance capability. Dude hits an F5 and a G5 back to back with a jazz inflection that was stunning in execution. It was a feat of greatness and is a must hear! The Big Brain Singer channel (opera singers) called the song a master class in R&B. The jazz influence is strong! Please step back in time to appreciate Stigma, Taehyung’s first solo song with BTS. Also take more notice of how often he sings high parts in BTS songs when you may think it’s another member just because everyone knows his low voice the best.
The truth is that Taehyung's works and songs have a lot of stories and everyone can put forward theories and opinions. This is your opinion and everyone has their own. And yes, Taehyung is amazing and very genius.
