I agree this one is fun. But imo thats cause you're winning more (or i am). You figure out the counters and run the best you have. And actually win some. In some of the others, it has all felt random and i didnt seem to have the pokemon to build a team. This one i have several pokemon that i wasnt doing anything with that suddenly really became useful.
Ah, I’ve been running a very similar team - Malamar (Psywave), G-Bro (safe swap) & Hoopa. Hoopa is there for a good time not a long time 🙂 Beheeyem looks fun though! Hopefully I can catch a good one in this event, so far I have had nothing but windy weather unfortunately 😅
@@brianwenzel912 I could be wrong about this: but I THINK* that the solosis will have the same hidden power as duosion and reuniclus. So I THINK* you can check before evolving... I was fortunate enough to have 1 reuniclus with ghost, and 1 with bug already - and both are quite good
@brianwenzel912 the hidden power changes each time you evolve. However: Duosion is EVEN BETTER because it gets night shade. So 2 chances per Solosis to make it happen
Been running the same team but been considering swapping Beheeyem for Chimecho for more bulk in the 2s. Claydol in the back seems to be the biggest issue and I’m seeing a lot. Do you think Psycho Cut is better than Psywave?
@@jx3k A lot of the other commenters on this video are recommending Chimecho as well. I wouldn’t say Psycho Cut is better but I needed my Malamar to reach its charged moves faster because of the team composition I’m running where Malamar is my best answer to claydol and opposing Malamars, but I think Psywave does more damage (I still lost the mirror in that one match).
Watched this again to see how you deal with the Malamar mirror…I’m shocked you only got 1 (and a million Claydol leads). I feel like I always get Malamar leads, which is a super obnoxious inconsistent mirror to play and feels like you have to win because they almost always have a Claydol in the back too.
As long as the Malamar is out of the way though, your Beheeyem should be free in the back. However yeah the Malamar matchup gets super tricky, and it's so tough if they have that claydol. But if you lose the malamar mirror and bring beheeyem and farm down, they will most likely bring claydol into beheeyem because claydol is bulky
I cooked up the same team. But Malamar only beats Clay Doll if you have a higher attack. And then you may not win the CMP. I’m doing that- but with a #1 Malamar, Claydoll is even more of a problem. And looking at pvpoke, psywave looks superior in the 0s and 1s, and psycho cut only pulls ahead with 2 shields.
@@CygnusGA ohh I didn’t know that, thanks for the info! 😊 I was running psywave at first but I swapped it after seeing all my opponents outpacing my Malamar. I guess either is fine
@@taffystar A minor tweak I’m making: Hyperbeam is useless. You don’t even need a second move. But Superpower might work as a bait / finishing move. It’s not great, but you get it a bit earlier. And GSlowBro also doesn’t need a second move in this format. I should have left my surf on there. Oh well. (And I used the TM before I saw your video- not suggesting it was you.)
And since this was slightly clueless, I'll publish an appendix now that I've played it more: On Malamar, Hyperbeam can win the CMP-- It takes 2 Foul Plays to take out the opposing Malamar and if they save up for a hyperbeam, and you don't / can't shield it, they'll beat you as it is 80 energy vs 45 + 45. 2 Superpower does work, but then you're debuffed. I'm still running Superpower, but there's a play for hyperbeam. And on GSlowBro, Claydol is vulnerable to water, and you can get off a Scald (85 base damage) sometimes but not 2 Brutal Swings (55 damage each). Not enough to pick up a win unless they're already damaged, but every bit helps. Technically Poison is better against Gardevoir, but it's generally easy enough to just use Poison Jab or cheaper to use Brutal Swing to finish it. And if GSlowBro can get to 50 energy against Malamar, poison (and then water) are slightly more energy efficient than Brutal Swing if you get stuck with that pairing and have the energy to spare. (Surf being the least efficient DPE, but cheapest so may get fired off a turn sooner. Sludge Bomb being most efficient, but not being helpful against Claydol.) I'm running GSlowBro Scald now, since I've already TMed Surf, and it has potential uses against both Claydol and Malamar.
I just found a rank 2 beheam, but its lvl 1 so too costy ): so for now, im running victini (single moved, might do hoopa if i can get a tm) malmar (phyco cut- foul play-super power) s gardivor i have 2 pokemon built, and victini almost works single moved, hoopa only needs single moved

Fun fact they're named after LGM (Little Green Men) and BEM (Bug eyed monsters)
@@raviloga ooh I didn’t know that! Thanks for the info 😊
i tried this team and went really positive with 4-1 and 5-0. Love it! Subbed!
Congrats so happy to hear!!
Pretty cool I'm using this same team. Running slowbro up front. Might try this instead. I was having ok sets but I like this strat
Nice video. Made a lot of progress with G. Rapidash, Claydol, Victini.
TYSM for this team Taffy! I went 17-8 with it on the day. Started off with a crazy 9 game win streak that was sadly broken by ABB Astonish, lol.
@@XTheFall3nX Wow let’s go that’s amazing!!! 🥳
Pretty cool team. I powered up/second moved Chimecho good ivs and had success! Great job overall
@@chriscolella0726 I’m thinking of building a Chimecho 🤔
I'm enjoying this cup a lot too, I use G rapidash, G Slowbro and hoopa. So funny see this rare Pokemon work😂😂
I saw a good master league team on twitter which you might be able to run. Rhyperior, ms RW Bs, tapu Lele as nm mb, tapu bulu bs nm gk. Lele safe swap
I don't have any of those ahahahaha 😂 My Master League Pokemon are limited

HomeSliceHenry had some fun with hoopa, pretty fun to watch
Chimecho - Astonish, Psyshock, Shadow ball
Shadow Gardevoir - Charm, Triple Axel, Shadow Ball
Reuniclus - hidden power ghost (or bug), Shadow Ball, Thunder
If you think astonish users hit hard, try hidden power reuniclus LOL
I evolved several and got hidden power rock, fire, steel, steel, psychic, grass 💀
