I had a locked dizzy running for years and missing out on decent throttle response, then purchased the msd programmable and holy hell never looked back even gained fullboost earlier.. They love timing before boost ramps in.. Love you tips and your chanel
Absolutely nothing beats the feel and throttle response from tuned carburetors. More specifically an engine with a carburetor for each cylinder. Worst throttle feel and response is from pure drive/ride by wire throttles. My track bike (R6) is ride by wire, but still has a throttle cable for good reasons.
I'd love to see a demonstration of HP Academy tuning acceleration enrichment! Because most people say just dump a ton of extra fuel and usually it pegs hella pig rich but "it feels the best that way.". That's literally all I've ever heard for guidance. Yet I still don't really think that's fully the case. Any tips would be nice to see!
We cover this using a few different ECUs (information will cross over to many different tuning solutions though) via our members only webinars here: www.hpacademy.com/previous-webinars/ Just use the word 'enrichment' in the search box (I can't link it searched for you sorry as it just does it within the page rather than taking you to a new one) =) - Taz.
We don't cover carburettor tuning sorry Sammie! Or Dave! 😎If you end up with something that has EFI or are more into performance engine building we can help you out though =) - Taz.
High Performance Academy More performance? My carby has seen me this year claim the national series title in Formula Vee. Just because it’s not EFI doesn’t mean it doesn’t go hard
'Performance engine building' as in the topic 'performance engine building', not 'more performance' ;) Carburettors still have an advantage over EFI when it comes to WOT, but for that one thing they are better at there are a lot more areas they fall short on by comparison. There are pros and cons for everything, even EFI, and if carbs are working for you then you don't need to change to EFI unless you had a specific reason to do so - Taz. This video runs through a few comparisons: ua-cam.com/video/2Q49DsNmcsI/v-deo.html
How lean is that spike and for how long is acceptable? I have that issue. After a agressive gear change with closed throttle and then full throttle on next gear i often se a lean spike with about lambda 1.2 for 200ms of time. Then the lambda goes back to about 0.85 Is this condition damaging my engine?

Car can post big numbers, but without throttle response it's not fun to drive on the road.

Thanks Taz; am already a member and was looking for this exact demonstration. Cheers!
I can’t seem to find the enrichment table on my carburettor, can anybody help
Mine has one, it's called an accelerator pump!

Get your friend to spit some methanol in the intake manifold. Works 100% saw it on a documentary called “Mad Max Fury Road”.
So we just going to ignore the fact that he actually never demonstrated the way to do it via hp tuners we get the idea man we need the demonstation
I learned nothing ugh

Shame you didn't get a response from this. I'm in the same boat 😥
What if your engine was a carburetor?
We don't cover carb tuning at this point in time sorry, just EFI - Taz.
Andre not talking about anything anyone actually comes to the videos to watch again
who do you think is the best tuner for like 1000whp subaru sti and a 1000whp rb26 drift car :D i live in iceland btw :D
