      Actually , it wasn't done the professional way, and you can see the result of that in the finished cast.

    I always cut up the back of the bald cap first , that way it it gets stuck to your cast then at least your model gets out quicker and you can separate the cap once it’s off them x

    I've only ever lifecasted with alginate and it was always a pain. This way looks so much easier. Thank you!

    I forgot to say this on your actual entry, but can we just take a minute to thank Tommy for this! He's a trooper, going through the process and makeup, too - and is amazingly talented!!

    OMG watching that made me feel so anxious. I definitely could not tolerate having my whole face covered like that. How long did the whole process take?

    I have two questions. #1 Can you use Saran Wrap or a plastic bag instead of a bald cap? #2 Is it a must to thin the silicone before applying? Also thank you for the great video!

    I need a live cast of the upper part of my head from the top of my neck in the back and forward to just above my eyebrows. I need a form to make custom fit caps for myself. No one sells caps to fit my head.

    If you use Body Double Silk you do not need a release agent. It will come off of eyebrows and lashes even short hair.

    Great video! I remember creating a mask using the plaster method directly to my face (at least that's what I can remember from the experience) in my 5th grade art class *I think* & it worked out fine, but thank you for the warning! Also as a suggestion, make sure you talk as if you're filming on the same day your vids go up. It can be confusing when you're talking about the NYX Awards as if we still have a few days to vote when you upload the video the day before voting ends.

    How would you do the entire head?

    • @goldiestarling
      @goldiestarling  7 років тому +8

      I've seen some really good videos on here for the full head cast. Basically you would cover the entire head in silicone then make two plaster jackets split down the center. You would then pop the back jacket off and using scissors cut a zig zag pattern up the back of the silicone.
