Of course in the Chinese version they get to rap, but even Tao had to share that with Xiumin. Just an early example of them not getting enough focus, which definitely lead to some of their issues down the road and one of multiple reasons why they left (I'd leave to if I was getting worked like crazy to the point of exhaustion and health concerns, but didn't get featured much or felt like my solo work wasn't similar to my counterparts.) But, that's the risk you run when you're dealing with a group of 12 people, the lines get spread thin sometimes sadly enough.

The fact of the matter is, when you have that many people in a group (Super Junior is a great example of this as well), the lines given can only go so far, and so most of those will go to the lead and main singers. It doesn't mean that the other people don't necessarily have as nice a voice, it's just how it works when you have such a massive group of people. As sad as I am that Luhan, Kris and Tao are gone, I'm happy that they not only get to pursue their solo work and get more focus, but now other people who didn't get as much attention in EXO are getting more because the music doesn't have to be spread so thin amongst so many members. Also, I highly doubt that SM would have signed him as quickly as they did, put him through a short amount of training, and then featured him in what was to be (and what did end up becoming) one of their biggest new groups at that time if they only liked him for his wushu skills. He wasn't even considered a visual of the group, and there have been plenty of other idols that had martial art skills of one kind or another that got into groups, but those people also had other talents as well. So to say that he was only brought in for those skills just doesn't add up.

this video is so well done! , I think it shows perfectly how hard the boys work and all the effort they put in the performances, it's really unbelievable. I adore Tao Kris and Lu, and i think that they made the choices that they felt and thought were the best for them, and we all should respect that instead of crying and complaining, cause they clearly have moved on and have successful and solid careers, they are happy and healthy with their lives right now so the best thing we can do as exo-ls is to show all the love, support and appreciation we have for them. I think that's way more mature considerate and respectful. I'm a new fan of Tao. Knew Exo since debut, was never interested in and never noticed Tao in the group. I just found him out this year and was browsing his old times at Exo and was extremely shocked to see he didn't even get to sing much. HIS VOICE IS MADE IN HEAVEN! I couldn't stop laughing at the comments saying Tao voice isn't good or he isn't talented at all and he's almost useless in Exo. You can dislike him. You can say his face is not your taste. But how could he get Wiz Kalifa to sing with him if he's not talented at all? How could he get Jackie Chan (JACKIE CHAN!) praise him like crazy if he's not talented at all? Some of these comments make me so sad. How can ppl say that anyone from EXO was pointless? Everyone's free to have their own opinions of course, but just because you think Kris wasn't the best rapper doesn't mean he was bad at everything else. Tao, Luhan, and Kris (and everyone still in EXO) all brought something to the table whether you appreciated it or not.
Personally, I loved OT12 and losing any of the members would have been just as crushing to me. EXO is still good now and those that left are amazing on their own too. If you're a real fan of EXO you won't bash anyone's skill or talent. THEY ARE ONE!

this video is so well done! , I think it shows perfectly how hard the boys work and all the effort they put in the performances, it's really unbelievable. I adore Tao Kris and Lu, and i think that they made the choices that they felt and thought were the best for them, and we all should respect that instead of crying and complaining, cause they clearly have moved on and have successful and solid careers, they are happy and healthy with their lives right now so the best thing we can do as exo-ls is to show all the love, support and appreciation we have for them. I think that's way more mature considerate and respectful. I'm not saying that we should forget that they were in exo by any means cause they will always be a very important and beautiful part of Exo, what i'm trying to say is that we should respect their decisions and accept that they have chosen a different path but we can still support them individually! Please let's keep on loving Exo and the ex members happily, this way we will be stronger than ever!

I'm a new fan of Tao. Knew Exo since debut, was never interested in and never noticed Tao in the group. I just found him out this year and was browsing his old times at Exo and was extremely shocked to see he didn't even get to sing much. HIS VOICE IS MADE IN HEAVEN! I couldn't stop laughing at the comments saying Tao voice isn't good or he isn't talented at all and he's almost useless in Exo. You can dislike him. You can say his face is not your taste. But how could he get Wiz Kalifa to sing with him if he's not talented at all? How could he get Jackie Chan (JACKIE CHAN!) praise him like crazy if he's not talented at all? Did you know Jackie Chan said "if a Chinese could win Oscar, it must be ZTao"? I'm so glad he left exo else I would have never found him out and his great music that makes me extremely happy.

i don't get why they always give kyungsoo luhans parts in korean vers, yes its korean ver but lay is still the best choice his voice just sounds so similar at times plus the poor boy already gets barely any lines. and maybe its just me but a few times while listening to songs after luhan left like el dorado i couldve sworn it was him singing even tho i knew it was impossible so i looked it up and it was lays part, theres just something abt his voice that reminds me.
