I have a jon deck which just plays a bunch of small unblockable creatures, ways to copy Jon’s trigger, and a homeward path for when you get into the 1v1 at the end. It’s a great deck even without bad gifts!
I played around with a similar vein. I stuck some utility creatures in there like Thieving Skydiver to get me something good, and being able to give away.
Run things like propaganda, koskun falls, no mercy, evil eye of urborg and evil eye of orms-by-gore along with countrespells and removal to deter people from focusing on you
This looks sick to play. Originally I stayed away from it because I'd already built Beamtown Bullies just before this was spoilt but having seen it play I'm tempted. The fact that stuff is permanent rather than a one-shot effect seems much better.
Beamtown bullies are kind of one note. It leads to this play pattern where you get one guy out them they get salty, then everyone else focuses you down because you so easily took the other guy out.
"Now, this can be a mildly salt inducing deck... so I added more salt to the stew" 😂😂😂 Been here since the beginning and still love the channel brother. Keep doing what you're doing dude!
I dont understand the stealing sub-theme tbh, and what it brings to the table. I am planning to put mind control effects in my deck to take their stuff that they played and then give it back to them (forever changed), or even better, give it to someone else. But thats to take care of the other creatures that are swinging at me, so it's helping keep me alive. I dont get what benefit looking through their library has (i guess it has a nice evil feel to it though, so that alone might be worth it😅)
Haha I have had this deck since BfBG, I didn't even think of Theiving Skydiver, that's elite. Flyers are huge, as are boats, because of the implication.
I was so scared of somehow getting stuck with bad creatures in my hand that instead of putting that many bad creatures in my deck, I added infect/poison. I don't know which would be more hated.
I really like the idea of the deck, but, what's the win condition? What happens when you are down to you and one other opponent?? What's the wincon? Thanks! The deck tech is great..
Well, I have won a few games with it, but it isn't a super competitive deck. The bounce is there to re-deploy creatures after bouncing them. At endgame, you should have a full grip, and the ability to outlast your weakest opponent. But, sometimes you just get taken out and that's the game brother.
Imagine donating someone Archfiend of The Dross, he dies to its trigger, then Archfiend returns to you and you die to it😂😂😂 Yes, yes, this happened to me
@@bettercommander that was not in Jon Irenicus, but in Blim, Comedic Genius. No bounces for Rakdos, sadly. I mean, I now prefer not playing cards that I won't be able to run safely (except for Nefarious Lich, donating this one to opponent definitely worth the risk)

Dude, I absolutely love your presentation. I just pulled Jon and I am so building this deck. Cheers
Love you too baby!
This was one of my favorite creatures of Battle for Baldurs Gate, but I've held off on building it because of how quickly it can become the Archenemy
Bounce and counters, that is the way.

Yooooooo this is a great revisit! Hell yeah brotherrrrr Nicky Gstradamus
Thanks buddy, prognosticating over here.
THE IMPLICATION AHAHAHAHAH your inner Dennis has peaked its head. I also enjoyed how much thought you put into this deck
I use merchant ship. Ya know, cause of the implocations.....Of a forced draw.
Lmfao, solid content and delivery

Yeah man! Stay tuned, more to come. Thanks for sticking around, brother!

Because of the implication, yes...

Wincon eh?
@@bettercommander Ya. I think I want to build it but how does one win? Or is it just through value? :)

Homeward path is a great wincon in this deck
Hear me out... Slivers.
Yeah, that's not terrible dude.

That is sad brother. You gotta have some way to bounce that fella.

Haha

Your "non budget" list is running a ton of budget cards: keep safe, negate, diamonds...? Instead of its better counterparts
Listen man, I gotta pay child support on 11 kids and a dog. Budget looks different for me.
@@bettercommander its just clickbait to call it non budget if its budget irrespective of the reason.
