I have been jamming to these for a couple of months and it has made me so much more fluent on the fretboard. I wish I had access to this kind of content when I was a teenager it would have made learning so much easier and fun
Hello brother, happy holidays, I humbly rewuest your permission to use your backing track for my solo single. I will give name credit to your channel too. In this regard, I request your respond soon before the end of this year, so I can release in this festive season.
Can anyone tell me why that dimished chord works from a theory/musical standpoint? I pretty much always stay with the basic major minor chords, and never mess about with dom 7 (except for 12 bar blues sometimes) and especially not diminished!
If it "works" = sounds good, then it sounds good! :) Usually diminished can be a great "voice leading" chord to the "one" chord - the tonic. Cause it wants to resolve there really bad but it can resolve well to other chords and in this case the next chord isn't the tonic but the 6th chord - C#m - a chord that is right "under" the 7th - diminshed chord. If you are more interested in all that you can search "voice leading" - generally different ways to use augmented and diminished chords that are dissonant and weird, to pass from one chord to another in a way that makes it more fluid and satisfying.
The solo at the end is genuinely beautiful; the note choices, phrasing, execution/fluency and the tone, all absolutely spot on. 11/10. 👍
Solo at the end was incredible
