Love the fact that you don't restrict yourself to one genre Craig. Always great advice and ideas in your videos with that unique sense of humour :-) Keep them coming
Just saw this vlog and I can see what you mean when you say that anyone can do this and have different interpretations of the same subjects. I've been setting myself specific projects to focus on, and currently it's about documenting my city as seen from my very own eyes and point of view. I thoroughly enjoy it, and to counter anyone saying that they live in a boring place and can't find anything to take, let me tell you, my city is as boring as they come! I live in a "New Town" full of concrete with remants of the old town thrown in, but I can find subjects anywhere, from buildings, river fronts, people, market traders, graffiti, etc etc. Thanks for giving me more ideas for my current project. I'll certainly go looking for more images to take and process.
Thank you, Craig, for letting us participate in your artist's trained look at things. Both the contrast of new and old as well as of beautiful and rotten/mellowed sometimes seem laconic and provocative, but always aesthetic. Inspiring!
Great video Craig! My daughter and I visited Bath last June and I shot mostly the touristy stuff. Thank you for showing me a different side of the city and giving me a good excuse to return. Cheers!
Just love Bath such a beautiful place I believe the fence along the river was put up to stop people falling in after a few to many drinks over the Christmas period .as there has sadly been a number of drownings over the years .
Hello Craig, and a very well done. That looked like fun. I love abstract architecture shots myself. I remember many years ago walking the Cotswolds Way from Chipping Camden to Bath. Fabulous little City...
Its been a long time since I have been to the City of Bath it could have been in 1985 when I picked up my prints after being ascessed for the Fellowship of the Royal Photograpic Society which was successful may I add......its a lovely place and you done well to get those pictures that you wanted.......thank you for sharing and I really enjoyed your shoot and the pictures you got, I hope to get there again sometime and hopefully some of your ideas will still be in my head......Thank you.......
It still blows me away when you select a composition that I just wouldn't have seen. Some people have it...the rest of us mere mortals struggle. Excellent video (and not a bad location either).
For some reason I especially liked several of the photos that included the ornate/curvy lampposts, making me think that could make an interesting emphasis for a photo project. :)
Thank you again for a great video; both those lenses are brilliant for relatively little money. Btw I believe the fencing is there to prevent people (usually young people) getting too close to the water when inebriated.
Very nice, great inspiration. For me, a confirmation too. To get something different and individual, I try this kind of photography with my Olympus 75 mm 1,8 for some time. With more or less success, but enthusiastically.
Excellent video and photos. I used to live in bath and its very hard to take photos of the historic architecture due to all the big 4x4 vehicles everywhere
Poppycock. I've photographed in Melbourne many times. It's not Bath-like, but it's good to see and photograph. Walk along the Yarra, between Queens Bridge and Princes Bridge. Flinders Street. Swanston Street. Every street, lane and alley. Imagine you're photographing Melbourne to show Craig.
@@oneeyedphotographer Hey! Good point there, friend. Thanks for that. Unfortunately, I don't use any photo sharing media, so you can't have a look at my Melbourne work.
I go to Bath fairly often, it was really good seeing it from a different persective, with some great shots. Must sneak my camera in a bag next time I am taken shopping :-D
Nice one Craig, very interesting to see my own city through someone else's lens. Not sure the map covers the best photo locations. Must get a copy, I might learn of some gems on my doorstep! Don't know if you have seen it but a guy did a book of abstract images from around bath and there was a prize for first person to identify all locations. Never did it but it was quite fun.
Nearly everyone has a smartphone with a camera built in nowadays.. I am always on the lookout for abstracts in my day-to-day life and take a picture with my phone when I spot something that interests me.
Funny how in my neck of the woods (Florida) and quite the opposite of you, us southerners are looked upon as less sophisticated. It must be the short A. Also I like how you framed or cropped out the modern as much as possible. Framing out all those cars in the circus reminded me of the famous Bibury yellow Corsa. In fact is was easier to frame out the Corsa than it was the selfie stick crowd.
It's a challenge to shoot New York City because it seems like everyone's already done "that shot". I've probably just not tried hard enough. I'll challenge myself to apply an abstract approach and use my tourist eye. Thanks for the inspiration!
I grew up in Bath, miss it every day. How are you getting along with that Pen F? A friend is about to get it and I'm trying to steer him towards Fuji. Thought your Landsdown Hill shot was the pick of the bunch...
I'm a big fan of your videos and your photography. But, I'm an even BIGGER fan of the music in your videos!! Who are the artists on this video? I HAVE to know!!
A nice overview of the city. Where did you get the map? I will be traveling to England later this year and Bath is on our list. Thinking of spending 1 or 2 nights there.
@6:42 XD Nice shots and nice video. In the first minute of the video, was the focus changing on the background (the cobblestone) or... is it my .. eyes!? ?! o.O For the tree blocking the cathedral, well, personally, I would shoot it from various angles anyway and maybe even I'd try to compose in Photoshop or so (I know, not real photography but still art) and make some symmetry out of that tree. I'd love to do a 3D anaglyph as well out of that scene if i get the chance to!
I love all the shots, I love your channel...but I would argue, being the pedantic soul that I am, that none of the photo's are abstracts. They are architectural/urban landscapes. The concept of abstract is that the subject is divorced from its environment eg a single acanthus leaf of a corinthian column, part of a medieval door hinge. There may be elements of singularity or pattern, even deliberate attempts to obscure. Photo's of the regularity of Georgian facades doesn't quite fit the bill. As I said I love the shots though and agree with all the comments below.

Inspirational stuff again Craig. There is nobody I know who exemplifies the simple pleasure of taking photographs more than you.
Took the words out of my mouth! 😊
Master Class in Travel Photography!
Great ideas, we loved being in bath on our travels from Australia. I had fun photographing the architecture there over the 3 days.
Craig, really enjoyed this, music was very well selected. Thanks for all of your efforts in putting these together.
Thank you for your sharing video. Always i saw all beautiful images of Craig.👌👍 Excellent! sir.
Well done Craig, I try and get out in my local towns for the abstracts. Looking forward to the next vlog.
Thank you! You remain an inspiration for me.
Inspiring. Love how you focused on the buildings and no sign of vehicles.

Love your photos so much!!!
I love Bath and visit regularly, at least once or twice a year. Beautiful city and great vibe.
A new anorak in one of your Christmas boxes? Anyway, best photography Vlog on planet, especially, but not only for Olympus MFT owners! Thanks. Ludwig
Some really nice compositions in those images, and of course the pleasure of finding and capturing them comes through - thanks
Another great video - you have such a creative eye - thanks for taking the time to make it!
Love your compositions! Thank you.
Thank you, Craig, for letting us participate in your artist's trained look at things. Both the contrast of new and old as well as of beautiful and rotten/mellowed sometimes seem laconic and provocative, but always aesthetic. Inspiring!
Great idea for winter !
Inspirational as always Craig. Great style and production thank you.

Inspirational as usual Craig , cheers 👍
I always look forward to your video's. Thanks for sharing.
Very nice, thank you.
I live 5 mins from here & visit weekly, such a beautiful city
Thank you Craig, great video, love the abstract stuff.
Hi Craig, Andrew here in Ottawa, great to get home from work and see another great inspirational video. Cheers
Great work Craig, a very chilled and enjoyable photography trip around beautiful Bath - Thank You.
Wonderful video, brings back great memories from my UK trip a few years ago. Must make another trip with that map and your suggestions
Once again: nice photos and a good video...
Aww nostalgia. I grew up in Bath. I miss it.
Great video !
I love the chimneys in Bath. Another good spot is Clifton in Bristol.

Really Nice video Craig ! Great abstracts 👍🏼✅😊
Great Video. Thank you . I’m just starting out with my camera and get some great tips from e6 Vlogs . Thanks again Paul
A great shoot as always Craig. You got some really interesting views of Bath. I’ve not been there for a while. It must be time for a revisit.
Great images ...
Craig, all the best to you in 2019
For some reason I especially liked several of the photos that included the ornate/curvy lampposts, making me think that could make an interesting emphasis for a photo project. :)
Great video I did the same thing a few days ago in the town where I live Augusta Ga.

Great video 👏👏👏👏👏⭐️⭐️
It’s a nice place bath
I live in Bromley. But your video was so inspiring, I'll give it a go anyway!! 😀
Great video, my own back yard, some unique views that we walk past on a regular basis 👏👏👍
Excellent video and photos. I used to live in bath and its very hard to take photos of the historic architecture due to all the big 4x4 vehicles everywhere
Excellent Craig. I just added an EM-1 body and totally copied the zoom" kit from your E6 Blog. Now on to the primes...... great images.
Thanks for the inspiration. Unfortunately, my city, Melbourne, Aust., lacks the photogenic architecture of Bath.

Very interesting Vlog and need to try something similiar in Edinburgh one weekend. Atb
Looking forward to it.

Nice one sir, can I ask a simple question? How do you create that white frame around your chosen shots?
Wow. Some great shots here. The map is a great idea. Do they do this for other city's?
Just go for a walk. Photograph everything you see, like Craig does sometimes. Gavin Hoey does 15 minutes challenges sometimes.
Giles ..there's this strange man wandering the Crescent taking photographs..do you think we should contact the Constabulary ?
Who is your busker? There's not a lot who sing classical, and she looks familiar.
The busker I saw is Fiona Mariah.
She's Western Australian, trained in London.
A nice overview of the city.
Where did you get the map? I will be traveling to England later this year and Bath is on our list. Thinking of spending 1 or 2 nights there.

Trees. City photographers' nightmare.
A lot of those pictures were spoilt by the absence ancient sky dishes...
Is it OK to take a shower in Bath? Sorry, couldn't help myself.
Some nice pictures here, but not one abstract. Not even close.
