This is nice and all, but how is Miller bringing a new welding process to the market if IPG Photonics released a handheld laser welding system back in 2020? The shop I work at currently has a handheld laser welder that I've personally run. The technology really is amazing but it's definitely not new.
Thanks for the comment and for watching! Your absolutely correct, this is not a new process. What Miller has brought to the table with this unit are advancements in the technology for the wire delivery system as well as a robust housing for the internal electronics of the power source that is itself a "light tight" laser enclosure. I also couldn't agree more, the technology is absolutely amazing!
IPG has had this for over 10 years, it just wasn't affordable for any but deep pocketed individuals or businesses. Recently Everlast released a full line of multi-mode laser systems up to 3kw.
@@LemonySnicket-EUC system looks OK but hellz no to that! There are competing systems for easily a third of that in the US. Everlast top end product with 3kw is 20k, with the 1.5kw at 9.
Million people gonna ask whats the cost $$$ 💰 🤑 💸 i will buy it .
