When I listen the such type of songs of Noor Jhan and see Noor Jhan belive me I am completely lost myself into Noor Jhan and want to see it again and again. Har songs take me away from this artificial world to the world of beauty. Allah crated a hoor and sent to earth just for a short period.

You are right, Aziz Sahab. In my view, Madam sang in three distinct timbre, over the period of time, which are Pre-1947, 1950-70 and Post-1970. I consider that the period 1950-70 was her peak, when she had a matchless and extraordinary voice quality and modulation. In this period, the magic of her voice and music is at its zenith.

Your comment reminds me of the trip Raj Kapoor and Nargis made to Russia at about the same time. The Russians mobbed Nargis and praised her for how well she sang and she had to let them down by explaining how the singing for movies worked in India. Perhaps other actresses would have become great stars in Pakistan anyway. But having the divine Noor Jehan sing for them certainly helped. This is one of those rare instances where the actress and singer were one and the same. Thanks for the comment (again).
