The Manchu or Qiing dynasty was the one that let China be colonised, although western countries and Japan also bear responsibility for attacking and colonising China. The past 2-300 years were painful for China before the communist revolution because of western and Japanese colonialism. The clothes look nice but sometimes less is more.
China has never been colonized and Japan only occupied Manchuria from 18 September 1931 - 27 February 1932 (for 5 months, 1 week and 2 days).
Manchuria was just one of many provinces of China.
While Mongolia merged with China and became Chinese. So their dynasty is a Chinese dynasty and therefore China was not a colony of Mongolia. A colony is a land
ruled by a power outside of said land where as Mongols ruled China within China using a Chinese government and also ruled their original homeland from China,
not the other way around.
it would be like the British changed their central government to India, followed India structure of government, and adopted Indian culture and ruled the UK from India.
then it can be said that the British rule was an Indian dynasty and India was not a colony. The British colonized India for 200 years.?

"Even with the combined forces of Europe, US, Russia, and Japan they were never able to occupy all of China simultaneously. That’s why it’s called a ‘partition’ not ‘colonization’: because none of them could single-handedly have the whole pie. Japan tried that in WW2 and failed.
Even after the Korean War, the US dared not invade China. During the Cold War, the USSR never invaded China. The worst the Soviets could do was air anti-Chinese propaganda. But complete invasion is just not worth it. The US couldn’t even invade Vietnam, just south of China. Land wars in Asia are a no go.
There are two more golden rules in the art of war:
Never invade Moscow in the winter
Never occupy all of China-unless you want to be engulfed "
