  • Magdalenas are sweet, light and fluffy Spanish cakes visually similar to muffins. In the past magdalenas were traditionally baked for holidays, but nowadays these little cakes can be found in bakeries and supermarkets throughout Spain.
    The recipe is easy and everyone can make magdalenas themselves to enjoy them any time of the day or year with tea or coffee.
    In this step by step baking tutorial I'll show you how to make magdalenas at home.

    Ingredients needed to make magdalenas (about 15):
    3 room temperature eggs
    2 cups or 250 grams all-purpose flour
    ½ cup or 125 ml olive oil
    ½ cup or 125 ml full fat milk
    1 cup or 200 grams sugar
    1 and 3/4 teaspoons or 8 grams of baking powder
    A pinch of salt
