Almond cookies (tuiles aux amandes)
Almond cookies (tuiles aux amandes) are thin, light, crispy and a bit chewy. They are nice with ice cream or are a dessert by themselves. They are quite addictive - it’s easy to eat more of them than intended.
To make the cookies we need: (makes about 30)
125 grams / 1 and ½ cup flaked almonds
75 grams / ⅓ cup white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 egg whites (50 g)
25 grams / 2 tbsp melted butter
20 grams / 2 and ½ tbsp all purpose flour
For best results, measure ingredients with a scale. All recipes are made with weighed ingredients using grams. Cup measurements are provided for your convenience.
