No it most certainly WAS NOT done correctly The butt joint had a huge gap in it and only had 6 nails Nor did I see Any screws in the field Thar joint is gona crack
As a carpenter of 30+ yrs. And can do everything from drawing prints to handing the owner the keys. I am more impressed by this lady than any other UA-camr .
yep. Way to few screws. Unless they're using stud adhesive (idk never used it). My butt joints get way more screws, doesn't take any time and all get covered in tape.
The fact that someone would not add screws or call the builder to add screws or at least just SAY that your fed up with bad hangers, MEANS your kind of HACKY! and work on HACK work!!
I remember houses built by craftsmanship that didnt need fillers, shims, leveling foam, etc...builders just got lazy and the products to support that followed.
I did drywall for 20 years I'd hate to see your work if you think that was done right The gap on the butt joint is to wide The joint only has 6 nails I don't care if she does backfill it It's gona Crack That's a given fact
I took your Home Depot Path to Pro class. I really liked it as it was very in depth jn terms of taping, but I do wish it focused a little more on drywall hanging.
Man, I hate that when you do a job and the general contractor schedules everything backward, I did a bathroom, and they decided to have everything done before the drywall was even started 😢
They are in a rush to finish projects that sat for years . Customers and builders always put the cart before the horse . I know a guy that pays for cheap labor then, He pays a guy 30 a hr to patch and paint work he paid the cheap guy to do . Thinks he saves money
You have to be a big boy and explain extra time and increased costs. Be sure to put in writing what you've cost for so they cant play innocent and pay half as much as they should.
That's when you tell him what order shit needs to be done and why you are charging him extra for today's work .. and if he doesn't schedule right you'll find work elsewhere.. If they do it once and get away with it they will keep doing it. 😢
unless it's not a time-sensitive job you could use a two-part 15-minute dry time-filler. The reason for this is 20-minute Dura Bond at that thickness will take hours and hours to dry and it will shrink
Just get a can of kilz primer. You can even get the water based one. Just take 1 minute to spray the torn paper. It guarantees no bubbling or future problems down the road.
Wood glue. Shellac BIN price creeping too high. Water based not a good idea on torn paper. You could get away with a more dry hot mud on torn paper but I don't like the risk.
Everytime I see you I show your video to my sister and I tell her that what I call a real woman she can do anything that any man can do and better please keep producing the videos I love them
To thick of mud wont dry at bottom of patch. Like autobodý muď, 2-lite layers are stronger. Sheètrock wilĺ flex / no screws /patch will CRACK. Time to redo is $€$
If you have to prefill a factory bevel joint, run your knife across the joint diagonally. It cleans the mud out of the bevel so that it still funtions as a bevelled joint, but it still fills the gaps to keep your tape from shrinking back too much
Looks like 2’ centers but glue or no glue you still want to press the drywall against the framing plus how the trimmer get in the base already in but manage to keep it off the wall the same gap ,it all seems sketchy but 20 min on prefill is right as long as you move fast me it’s 45 and a whole pan
You got to wipe that tighter you leave that 20 minute on there it will harden up and you will have a bad seam so when you refill you must wipe it very tight so it doesn't bother the tape and raise it up any higher keep on trying you'll get better
U can throw tape right on top of that wet 20, than use tha rest a ur 20 nd get another coat on the face of ur tape.. When that dies u can go head n finish it with green or blue
Before prefilling it you might want to finish screwing the board if you think there’s enough screws then you may want to go back and relearn how to hang Sheetrock
Why are some of you saying more screws are needed? If it's secure, why waste the time? I'm a DIY guy, so I need some solid logic, no "I've done it that way for years."
@@keithduchnicki349 Because if you get any movement, the you get a crack. Then you've got to do it over after it's already textured and painted. Butting a few screws in is very little trouble. As you can see, they're on the light side. it's also wise to put some primer on that paper that's torn, so that it doesn't bubble unnecessarily. The few extra screws are easy to do. then to barely get by. If you're paid to do that, then you don't want to have to do it over.
Shy with the screw. Looks like she cut the boards with a bread knife. Not a problem bit of lining paper. Cover all the cracks . From lack of screws. Movement of boards
Girl you are so amazing so beautiful I love the way you know how to drywall know how to do kind of construction work and on top of that you're just a beautiful person I love to watch you cuz you're so amazing keep it up I wish that you become the world's number one Home Improvement person
I have no idea what I’m doing but was told once while trying to mud , that if brown paper is exposed somehow, we were to use this special sealant on brown paper before we mudded it, is this true?
That's just construction sometimes baseboards and sometimes it's not sometimes you got to fix your screw sometimes don't it is what it is just fix it and make it look good you'll always get another job
I'm so confused how that board is considered secure, are people just putting 0 screws in the field and glue alone? Because that seems.. literally insane
I was doing drywall for thirty five years. You are the first video in which every thing was done properly.
Almost no screws in that sheetrock?
yeah bruh its got a screw in a ripped apart corner lmfao
Somebody trying to kiss ass 😂😂
I’m sure😏🙄
No it most certainly WAS NOT done correctly The butt joint had a huge gap in it and only had 6 nails Nor did I see Any screws in the field Thar joint is gona crack
You take your Profesion to a hole new level great work keep on keeping on.
A little mesh tape on those big voids wouldn't hurt.

The board hanger must of ran out of screws

Seems like you need a couple screws in your head
@@jacoblopez3432seems like you need some sleep
How many screws are needed?
Easy Sand is one of the best products out there…makes fills so easy!

Facts
Im 70, learned trades from my grandfather born in 1800s.
It appears that the carpenters installed the baseboard to hold the drywall to the wall seeing as the hangers ran out of screws. SMH
😂😂 maybe that’s what happened
Dont carpenters do drywall too?
Lmfao ha ha ha ha ha ha right
@@dsld9838some of us do.
I taped and finished for 40 years. She's doing it the right way.

The women are usually tapers and painters, the men usually hang.
That is not offensive, it just takes more upper body strength to hang.
I love your work... very nice work

Nevermind I see what u mean your talking bout like the baseboard

That drywall has barely any screws in it..
Screws look super deep too, you'll see the joint in a few years. Ill gladly patch it, 500 minnimum 😊
Should definitely have more screws lol especially by those seams..
Yeah on joints have to use more, field can get away with not as many if its glued,
unless it's not a time-sensitive job you could use a two-part 15-minute dry time-filler. The reason for this is 20-minute Dura Bond at that thickness will take hours and hours to dry and it will shrink
That's because it's a screwless drywall. No one, absolutely no one, is allowed to screw on that wall!
Just get a can of kilz primer. You can even get the water based one. Just take 1 minute to spray the torn paper. It guarantees no bubbling or future problems down the road.
If you remove all the blistered paper there's no reason to prime it. I'll show you this all done and it will no blister.

Gardz for torn paper.
Oil based primer for torn paper don’t risk blisters.
Forget the drywall.. your hair is so pretty 😍
As a taper i find prefilling oddly satisfying 🤗

Learn what exactly? Fill
Hole before taping is common sense?
I'm going to have to go with the other guy that reply to your comment what the hell did you learn from this besides how the improperly do drywall

How bad are crumbled edges like that? I have that in a couple spots in my garage that I just drywalled.

what a beautiful teipera that is the old school now they don't know about that anymore I was a teipero for 20 years that's why I say it
Keep a can of Roman Pro-999/Rx-35 on hand for torn paper. If you don’t treat them, they’ll blister. Don’t just mud torn paper.
Super trabajadora ❤
That is one cute drywaller
Surface and material preparation is going to save you a lot and you will be more satisfied afterwards.
But you must keep it a secret when you figure it out. And use more complex moves to confuse everyone. I hope it helps...
Should you not use tape over the gaps between the boards?
Quite the smooth hanging job😂😂😂
Good info!! Thanks
Super😊
Wonder why the baseboard is already installed before the wall got mudded and painted
thanks colochita greetings for your teaching that are videos but of the best a 100 points to it I give 100 points

Where's all the screws lol
Ur a keeper 😊
Good job girl
Beautiful
You might want to screw that joint off with like 30 more screws first.. and pull that trim off too…
I have used Gypsolite/ brown coat with plaster of Paris added ( for quick set ) to effect the same type repairs
super 👍
You are amazing
If its an easy sand product does that mean its a soft plaster?
4 feet oc wall framing. Drywall and cardboard holding house together
Awesome
Can you send me the name of that product please i gonna fix it my garage
Waren die Schrauben alle?
Wow so hard…. Also you can just slap mud on there just like you did and put tape… your going to get the same results. Btw it’s faster
you're very good
I'm so confused how that board is considered secure, are people just putting 0 screws in the field and glue alone? Because that seems.. literally insane
Great job 👏
where do you find these hardworking beautiful women ❤
Packing the butt crack. Classic.
Aparte de hermosa, muy trabajadora.
Solo tienes 4 tornillos puestos., necesitas tener 10 a 12 tornillos en el joint.
