I love AMCI and Mrs. Jay's videos on UA-cam! I was so happy when you said that was where you attended your schooling. I did not go with AMCI, but I did not know of them at the time I started getting into medical coding or I would have. I am currently about to take my CPC exam. Would you say all the costs of CEUs, Codify, and just the yearly expenses are worth the job? I get that it can add up, which is why I am curious about your opinion of the whole thing.

I want to ask this question: - After passing the exam, how can I go further? - Do I do my new job remotely from Turkey to worldwide? - Do you recommend that job for the future? Hello Precious! I have enrolled to the I2MC course but I am sure I will continue with the complete course for CPC. My question is about the manuals. They recommend the Optum manuals for the course but the CPC Exam only accepts the AMA CPT professional manual. Did you ended buying the AMA CPT manual for the test?
@@michellevazquez6085 The Optum CPT book is definitely allowed because that's what I had used in the exam as well as other people I know. You can also reach out to Optum for more clarification. 🙂

Hi! I think this depends on your budget. If you have enough definitely buy the brand new ones as you have the opportunity to write your own notes on it. If you're tight on your budget go ahead and buy the used ones and work your way on it. I hope this helps.

Hi! The med terms and anatomy and physiology can also be found in the AAPC textbook bundle. Also, AMCI has resources and live classes once a week for these topics when I was still studying there.
I am terrible at math does coding involve math? If so how much? I am a mother of 3 been away from school over a decade. To study through amci do I take any math and reading placement test like college? Pls let me know it would be really helpful for me and other similar situation people.

you gotta keep paying and paying and not knowing if you even gonna be able to get a job thats what I do not like about this field..whether you pass the exam on not

There’s a tech school that I know of which offers a 9 month course + CPC exam fee for free.

Hi! I purchased all my books from Optum and yes, Optum CPT book can be used for CPC exam.

Hi! Correct, practicode only gives 1 year credit but I also have another year credit for finishing my cpc course through AMCI.
