Didn't know they added aerial fights in Elden Ring along side guns and homing missiles, as well as other tech shenanigans.
The SFX in this footage is solid. It seems we get stagger build up through audio cues as well (irrespective of HUD). In the Smart Cleaner fight it seems missed/ricocheted shots also have crisp audio. Looking good.
The sound design in this game is so fresh. I've not heard another game sound quite like this. Very crisp.

@@PANCAKEMINEZZ Didn't say the sound was punchy, and strong. It's crisp. It's a different approach to sound design. I'd love for guns to be louder, and maybe there will be options for that.
I was gonna comment the opposite. But I suppose its subjective. To me it sounds like 50% of the action doesn't even have a sound attached to it.

the sense of scale is incredible. Being able to scout, explore, and plan an attack angle on a group opens the game up so much.

@@queenmarisa I like my video games to be video games. Armored Core is perfect in TPS (which I prefer). I won't fantasize about being a mech pilot, just playing a video game about being a mech pilot, personally. It's all about the aesthetics and presentation, not the life-like immersion for *me* personally, having grown up with colored pixels as entertainment.

Looking very good!! Excited to see the HUD reveal as well! Very curious if there will be an arena mode where you can test your builds/weapons outside of missions
AC has always had test dummies in the garage menu to see if your build works. Vaatividya saw and has recreated the HUD on his channel
I hope there is an arena too was one of my favorite things to do was go one on one against another cool looking build

Everything feels so fluid and satisfying! It's SO good to have a new Armored Core game after so long, this looks like it's going to be absolutely incredible!
Not going to lie, going from fluid fighting in sekiro to the slow pace in elden ring felt a little sad to me. This is going to make it so much better
I've never played an Armored Core game, but seeing this I can't help but think it must be incredible to be a long term fan of the series. Returning to it after a couple of generations, with mainstream attention and with a budget that would have been incomprehensible back in the day
I also wonder about what souls influences will make into the game and how the AC fanbase will feel about them

Looks fun. As someone who enjoys Gundam series, this is what a Gundam game should have looked like. Just look at those amazing mech models.

YES, it looks like a slower ACIV but you feel the weight more, the transition into melee is also really well done, though the graphics fidelity does remind me a bit of nier automata gameplay, not a bad thing at all honestly
We can only hope our Armored Core has as many poly's as 2B's ass.

@@MechaBorne i sort of beg to differ because i feel like Reincarnation is currently the in between before getting a new Nier proper game reveal.
There's still a lot to explore in depth to this universe and a game set during the war with the Legion would be more than welcome and absolutely possible since as we know Hamelin had soldiers fighting them actively and the way the organization functionned is full of interesting dynamics (a bit of that was revealed in Rein).
Getting so much brand new content that is confirmed canon through direct relation to things found in Replicant (such as Kainé's shack existing in the Cage as a personal heaven) can't just be a marketting tactic especially when seeing how Reincarnation wasn't set up to be a gacha game with financial gain as its main objective.
IV is just nonstop boosting. I never liked needlessly boosting all over. There is always a need for more strategy based battle, rather than flying around all over.
Lets be honest here, if a human was in a IV mech, afterward they would be soup inside the core from the Gs going side to side.

Can we take a moment to appreciate this player's reaction speed though? That rifle shot dodge at 3:09 was fucking insane. Especially since it didnt look super telegraphed.
The player is really, really good. You can tell he isn't going all out on that final boss intentionally. He's moving cinematically but he's so skillful earlier that you know this guy has been wrecking enemies at this game for years now. Lucky guy, getting to playtest this game its entire development.

It was super cool but you can see that the video was cut a bit to speed things up, the barrel was already down and glowing so it's likely it's got a bit of a wind up. Normally the barrel is folded backwards.

There's also that tiny little beep you can hear right before the gun fires. Might be some sort of audio queue because he dodges immediately after the sound.

@@blokin5039 Yea, I definitely do. There's just something really magical about experimenting with what works (or doesn't work) and what feels good to play (or, again, doesn't feel good). There's always been so much that you could do with it, it's kind of hard NOT to want to dig into the customization system and build a bunch of new, interesting ACs. It's why 'Fashion Core' is 'endgame.'
We've already seen this! Come on, FromSoftware. Throw us a bone and show us the HUD and the garage mechanics.

All those channels didn't STEAL that B roll, they were explicitly given it. That's not leaking.
The boosting's pace, weapons, and design is similar to the Gen 1 to Gen 3 Armored Cores, but you can feel the power in every shot and the weight in every turn and collision. It feels like combat in the Armored Core: Last Raven's trailer. I wonder if sustained damage onto a AC part-head, core, arms, and legs-destroys it like in the Gen 3 games.

@@crimson-foxtwitch2581 Is that confirmed? Because that makes me curious about the cooling stats that the generators have. There aren't any radiator slots in the general menu that was shown, so i wonder how deep that particular system goes. Since it apparently exists again
@@revinumtheloser6345 while I don’t know if the heat mechanic is entirely gone, FromSoft seems to be focused on streamlining a bunch of established mechanics going into AC6. Heat damage might become one of those “on-the-side” things that only gets one or two stats attached to it, similar to status and elemental damage in Soulsborne games.

I remember as a kid playing armored core on the ps2 had sooo much fun glad the series is coming back soooo thrilled to play it once more
I’ve never played these games before, but I’m hyped to try this one. The mechanics look amazing, and the graphics are great too. You can really “feel” the weight behind the massive mechs which is a very important part of immersion. I can’t wait to give it a go. FromSoft has an eye for detail, and the drive for polish.
You see the evidence of Fromsoftware putting their all into their products.

I feel like we have to see something big from Armored Core during the Bandai panel at Anime Expo. There's basically no other big events before Armored Core 6 is out.

@@Tortle-ManFromsoftware's marketing team are masters at managing customer expectations. They always strike a balance that makes whatever they release somehow better than what was shown beforehand, often exceeding their fan's expectations. I mean look at Elden Ring. They managed to hype everyone up during its marketing campaign, but not so much that whatever they release will fail those expectations. It might seem lacking to you now, but once it releases, you'd be glad they didn't show too much.

Never played an Armored Core game. This footage sold me the game. Please tell me I don't have to play the previous 5 to understand the plot/lore or anything.
There's like 16 previous ones, but Armored Core treats numbers like Final Fantasy does. 6 is a brand new continuity.
The movement, response time, and customization reminds me So much of Exteel. And I LOVE it!

Bandai Namco, you guys need to market this game better. How much longer are we going to be waiting on real gameplay with the HUD, and a deep dive on the systems. You are giving a From Software AAA release the marketing of a AA Indie game.
I can't wait for this game, ever since the trailer dropped this been my most anticipated game of 2023. I love mechas and peeps working on it have really good track record. I hope it's going to be a very successful game.
Love that there is no commentary, let the gameplay do the talking. This does look amazing, almost reminds me of Vanquish. Looking forward to this.
Loving how vibrant this looks compared to the previous AC games which had very bleak visuals. Hopefully there will be even unique and diverse map and boss designs as the game progresses. I always felt like that was what AC was missing in order to be more appealing to a larger audience, although I do get that the whole pure "concrete and steel" design was kind of what AC always stood for.
I must say this looks amazing. If it plays as smoothly as it looks, I'll buy it.

No, each armored core number is a new game and story. It's similar to how Final Fantasy works. Each numbered iteration explores new mechanics and ideas and the franchise has been very expiramental and fun. I can't wait to see what new ideas they will play with this time too. Have fun exploring it with old hats like me.

I'm definitely liking that melees have more weight to them now, like being able to stagger that quad leg mech with the sword or just being able to straight up boot fodder units off platforms. Just two more months...

Given all the AC designs we've seen so far (A Crest lookalike and an Evangel lookalike, just to name a few), I am *so* gonna make some classic AC builds, like Cascade Range, or Annihilator.
If we can make a Crest Assault Type/Fracture lookalike without it being overweight, I will fucking nut. Cascade Range would be sick, too.

I can't tell you how excited I am to play an AC game in an era where fromsoft has learned how to make games that control well.
I adore older ac games, but the fact that they use the king's field control scheme is just brutal.

From Software has gotten so popular because of their Dark Souls/Blood Borne series that AC has been brought out of the side light and into the limelight and I'm excited to share this with everyone. New players and old...I've been waiting to get a Ps5 and a tv and this is it. I'm getting my first Pre order game ever and I want to play it on launch day with all of you. Looks great! I reserve all judgement until it's out. Been a From Soft Boy since the late 90s and they have never let me down.

I only wish they'd found a way to make the mechs feel as big as they are. These things are massive but always feel like they're just a bit bigger than a human.
Now that I think of it that IS a weird trend with this series. Even in older games that have more immediately obvious scaling (like city maps, seeing cars on the road, or feeling cramped inside a factory) the ACs kind of end up feeling like little toys on a playmat. Maybe it was the graphical limitations? It's hard to speak on ACVI for certain because we only have, like, 5 total minutes of gameplay footage of any kind ATM, but the environments that they have decided to show us in this one definitely seem scaled specifically for big industrial machines (and by extension, ACs). So you definitely get that "well this seems human-sized" feeling.
So excited. I'm so curious how fast I can go and if I can wield more than one melee weapon.

I love the way it looks one thing i would like to see is an animation for when you leave the flying boosting mode instead of just standing still in the air while falling maybe make the ac "brace" itself before landing
Been a fan since Dark Souls in 2011, and I can say confidently that FromSoftware is one of the FEW companies that always puts passion and heart into their games. They know what we want, and they always deliver. It's not just about money to them, unlike most developers. I'm so hyped!

Havent played armored core since I was a kid. I hope they have that arena/tournament thing where you fight all the other mechs to work your way up the rankings ladder. It was an amazing feeling to beat all of the mechs and finally defeat the rank 1 guy. Also I hope the Karasawa mk2 is in the game =)

Hey I adapted to the change from Last Raven to AC4 I don't really think I'll have any issues getting comfortable with what AC6 brings to the table, game looks like a refinement of the PS2 era movement with some gameplay lessons learned from the Souls/BB/Sekiro/Ring era of FROM, its abnormal that some "fans" think this will be a negative, very strange.
Watching this, from software should definitely do a full length gundam game. Bandai has the rights so its possible.

From has made a Gundam game, but it never left Japan: Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn for the PS3.
I wanna see the U.I! The messy, tons of information makes the game more immersive for me.
Also coming from ps1 and ps2 armored core games, not seeing the booster gauge while flying is scary
They turned the UI off here, VaatiVidya got to see it and recreated it. Looks pretty well-designed.
