REDEEMED ~ Making cold process soap for EASTER. Calvary, Three Crosses, Golgotha Sunset/Sunrise/Dusk

- This might just be my new top favorite soap out of all those I've made! And whew, what a wild rollercoaster ride of emotions this was for me.
I was feeling over the top giddy that I was able to make soap again! That turned to ultimate satisfaction as I ecstatically watched the gradient of 7 colors blend in slowly one by one when I poured that sunrise. Then, my patience was tried as I waited 12 hours for this to set up to the proper consistency for sculpting it. When spontaneity kicked in with a new idea for pouring the last layer, I didn't even think twice and acted on it immediately. This soon turned to uncertainty as my pour started to look completely different from what I was envisioning, and then was followed by regret for throwing all of my hard work under the bus. I was tortured by thoughts that my impulsive addition would not make for a cohesive color palette all of the following 24 hours, wincing at the thought of that beautiful rainbow of wispy pastels over a flaming furnace of blazing embers. My confidence didn't come back at unmolding, either, as I saw that my crosses had lumped together in one big blob of brown on the sides.
However, there came redemption! As my multi-bar cutter sliced through the soap, the thin edge pieces fell away with the gratifying clink of the guitar wires being released from pressure. And there it was... a beautiful sunrise with a 3 dimensional rocky ground that seemed to be beaming with luminescence from an unseen light source right underneath the central cross.
I felt humbled, amazed and overjoyed at the scene that met my gaze when I stared at the bar in my hand. It was a perfect masterpiece that I couldn't take full credit for!! I had not planned it to look like this, and yet here it was.
I just want to encourage you all to allow yourself room for creativity and spontaneity, and don't get hung up on having total control over things. Experiment, have fun, and sometimes just let go of the reins... you may not be able to fully visualize just how much you're capable of achieving but take the risk, take that leap of faith! The reward is just as great.
These are scented with a beautiful fragrance of pure sage from Little Bee Scents in my sky portion, and then blended with the oh-so-fitting Jesus fragrance oil from the same. This one is hard to describe other than being almost like an illusion where you pick up on different notes each time you smell it. It'd divine and very mysterious, but sweet and fresh.

Wow! Such beautiful bars! The colors behind remind me of the redemption promise that God made for us with the sign of a rainbow after the flood. And in the front, there's that redemption fulfilled! It couldn't be more perfect ❤
Ella, thank you! I hadn't even thought about it that way 😘
Amen and Amen!!!
The symbolism and hope with these is incredible! One of the best designs yet.
Thank you for your kind words!
It feels like it's been forever since I've watched a video from you...this is a phenomenal one to come back to! You're still such a wonderful artist and soap maker. I would have expected the "Jesus" scent to smell of spikenard & hyssop, but the notes mentioned still work with the scripture references so well. Great choice. Blessings!
I haven't been uploading consistency, and very rarely at that! So it's definitely on my end here, trying to juggle everything at home with the kiddos. Thank you so much for the kind words, you put a smile on my face! Not sure if you make soap, but if you ever have a chance to smell the Jesus one, I highly recommend it! It is a really beautiful blend. Blessings to you and yours, and have a wonderful Easter!
@@CreamyObsession It's always hard to tell, because UA-cam doesn't always like to send out notifications, even if you have them turned on. I don't make soap, but I was thinking about making some candles for friends & family, and the reviews said good things about hot & cold uses.
@@AdirondackRuby They'd turn out wonderfully, I'm sure! I'm a total newbie as far as candles, but hoping to make several for gifts as well 🥰
Wowwww!!! Love it! Came out beautiful. Praise God!❤️
Didn't it? One of my favorite designs ever!

Thank you kindly! ❤❤❤❤❤
This soap is gorgeous. I love the design and colors.
Thank you, Kim!
Wow! Those crosses are unbelievable. That you were able to cut it at once is crazy! Well done. Live it! I get the 30 passes but still! I thought about making a cross but never thought it would work with one stencil. Unbelievable!!!!! You are amazing ❤
Barbara, thank you for the kindest comment! The key really is a slow tracing fragrance and leaving it alone for a while until it gets to the right consistency. It's less work this way, but requires more patience in waiting. I'd rather wait than use that many more scrapers though! 🥰
absolutely love this! Thank you so much for sharing how you made this incredible soap!
Thank you so much for watching!
Here from the hive!! You are so talented and I know it smells absolutely amazing!
Oh thank you for stopping by, Sherry! Really appreciate that. And definitely... Marsha is a wizard with her oils! ❤
I didn't think that it was possible with just 2 stencils and am amazed how the sculpted crosses turned out! They are perfect and the lines are so clean! You are the master of sculpting layer technique! Love gorgeous choice of pastel color palettes for the sky and the omre ground turned out awesome! It seems that a slowing moving or a very well-behaved fragrance is the only way to make this design possible! Awesome design!
Wan-Ting, thank you so much for stopping by to watch this and for the sweet comment! Definitely need a decelerating fragrance, otherwise you risk breaking the crosses off in the process... they're super delicate due to how thin they are. Well worth the wait and million passes with the scrapers, though, in my opinion!
exceptional. beautiful result and educational to watch.
I appreciate that! Thank you 🥰

Such stunningly beautiful soaps 💕 👌 You always make perfect looking works of art.
I'm curious to know what once can do with all the scraped off soap batter. Is that used for sample soaps, soap dough or similar things? Thanks for your guidance.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I do all of the above, sometimes I just put it into a smaller mold or individual cavity ones for samples, other times I make soap dough, sometimes I go ahead and pipe flowers with it to use in future batches, as it's the perfect consistency for this when scraped. Nothing ever goes to waste though 😊
I love this so much!! What do you do with your soap that you scrap off after using your stencils?
Thank you! This time, I just put it in smaller individual cavity molds to give out as samples with orders. Sometimes I pipe flowers with it for future use (it's the perfect consistency at this point!) or use it to make a pliable soap clay also for use in future designs. Nothing ever goes to waste though.
