Speaking as a fan of vaporwave... yes, you nailed it. This looks like walking in a dead mall you used to hang out at as a teenager and seeing it fall into disrepair the way it has, but you think back to the good old days that are beginning to become a blur as you wander along the corridor... and then you find yourself at a Bath & Body Works for some reason because those always tend to be the last stores to go in a dying mall. I have a plan to make a whole vaporwave bathroom interior design. It's perfect, 90s nostalgia with adult swim influence, neon lights but in the hues of purple for me, like twilight hour, so something to really relax and have fun with.
My partner LOVES vaporwave and his birthday is this Friday! He literally ran out of the kitchen when he heard you say “vaporwave” and was just delighted with your music choices and the end result of the soap. Spot on for all creative choices according to him! Love this month's theme. This soap turned out funky and retro in its own right but imo if you wanted something "Vaporwave", it'd have been better to limit the palette to a few fewer shades at once, and do something geometric with the design, like diagonal stripes. An insert that looks like a triangle or something like that also could've been cool.
