As Toni says in the video, "Oh doggie." Parts of these old videos were downright painful to watch. But we had fun remembering some of these past shoots, and hope you do too. There are so many we obviously didn't rewatch, but let us know if there was a particular video you wanted to know the behind the scenes of--we'll probably do this again down the line!

ABOUT:
Reina del Cid is a singer songwriter and leader of the eponymous folk rock band based in Los Angeles and Minnesota. Her song-a-week video series, Sunday Mornings with Reina del Cid, has amassed a devoted and diverse following made up of everyone from jamheads to college students to white-haired intelligentsia. In 2011 she began collaborating with Toni Lindgren, who is the lead guitarist on all three of Del Cid’s albums, as well as a frequent and much beloved guest on the Sunday Morning videos. The Sunday Morning videos also feature a rotating cast of bandmates, special guests, and occasional random bystanders.

Although I haven’t seen all your videos, my favorite outtake of all time is when you’re performing Jambalaya, and have to cut & run because there’s a train coming thru your “recording studio” that also happens to be their railroad tracks...
One of the few musicians on youtube that can actually play the fly swatter.
Ladies, please be proud, your work is tremendous and a credit to both of you.
"You know when you make a mistake... " You guys do know that most of us don't know if you make a mistake....
I love Tony's guitar!
You might find your earlier work a little embarrassing, but there was certainly something in it at the time to cause all of us to tune in and keep following along as you've grown... Nice little memory lane trip! Thanks R&T! (your reactions are priceless!)
Yes, those "embarrassing" videos were what made so many of us fall in love with them.
Reina's voice is still great in them, and Toni is still superhuman with anything with strings. "Embarassed" is on a curve, I guess. Lol.
I like the back and forth stat reading, it reminded me of a high school presentation!
My favorite has always been Jambalaya on the railroad track.
that was my 1st vid.......been hooked on these ladies since
Mine also! I commented on it before I noticed you already had.
What a enlightened time we ( the people of the world ) live in when there is a platform that we can listen, enjoy, and appreciate next level talent such as you two .. Rock on Ladies
I LOVE that "Johnny B. Goode" video - one of your very best! Too hard on yourselves ~ take a GD bow for crying out loud!
Playing the fly swatter how cute, both you girls have so much talent to give
It was over much too quickly. Fun looking back and seeing how you've changed.
Agree. Hope they do this again.
You ladies caught my attention when I saw you cover Brandie by looking glass.
Been following you all ever since.
Don't Stop Please.
10 years from now you’ll be looking at the bowling shirt and hippy shirt going “what was I thinking”, but the music is timeless. Thanks for sharing, Bluefield Wv. with the best dog ever, Blue. The best Mountains are in my front yard. You should visit.
Toni & Reina were the last live show I saw before the lockdown, late Feb in Austin.
"Jambalaya" on the railroad track is one of your many good videos. Love watching you both.
Love that one!
I loved the “Train!” clip at the end.
Me too!
"Ain't nobody gonna miss me when I'm gone" = CLASS!
Harvest Moon, down on the river, that changed me. Somehow it was one of the first things I seen on the net, yes. Still watch it.. cool
Have to agree. The first video I ever saw of this special talent! Excellent job!
I'm always amazed and impressed of the joy these two girls show while playing, singing, reviving almost forgotten music...
It's a miracle theses days...
One of the mysteries of music is that two can achieve together what one never could alone. The effect is exponential. Charles Martin
congrats on the milestones! well deserved.
That was a lot of fun! Thanks, ladies!
I like the reflection of the fire in the headstock as the freeform section of "I Shall Be Released" starts.
You girls are awesome.
Thanks,
John
That was really enjoyable. Thank you.
Love hearing your commentary on your work. ❤️
In retrospect, there is a tendency to look at your performance very technically because you have progressed in skills. However, what we see now and saw then were two great girls with a passion for music who always left us in awe after yet another great musical performance. Keep that passion and innocence and combine them with all those new insights and skills. This world can use the connecting and soothing effects of your music right now. Thanks for that. Cheers from the Netherlands!
That was fun. Congratulations and well done.
Congratulations Reina & Toni!
Very good! Congratulations on all your hard work.
What a great idea for a video! You’ve done so much it’s nice to take pause to reflect.
I enjoyed watching this! It's always fun to reminisce once in a while like that! Congrats on 200K! Cheers from Vancouver Island, BC!

You two are the best. Fun to look back in this retrospective.

Watching musician's journeys is like savoring the well developed character arc of a novel. It adds to the richness of your channel. Thank you for sharing! :)
Did you get me to Davis med centre after coming home from the Dead at Eugene many years ago?

You two are such fine people. It is always a pleasure to watch your videos and listen to your songs. I hope you will keep on doing this for years.
It's the "cringey" moments in your videos that make you and your music so real and keeps me coming back for more! So thank you for all the moments, even the "cringey" ones.
This great to see you guys seeing what we see.
Thanks for sharing memories of all the great times. Much love from Portland, OR. Cheers

Happy reminiscing Sunday. Congratulations on the stats. Excellent.😀
This was fun! It’s so good to see you being able to laugh at yourselves. I’ve always wondered what you are thinking at certain points of your recording.
These simple videos are what captures our hearts and why we enjoy watching you ladies. You are unique and a breath of fresh air in a very troubled world. Thank you and keep making music.
This was wonderful to hear you both reacting to old videos. As everyone else has said, don’t worry! We loved them when the first came out, and for good reason. Looking forward to many more Sunday morning videos.
That was sooo fun, I was in tears laughing along with you guys, hahahahaaa!!! You guys are awesome!!!!
That was a blast! I've been a fan since like, 2008. It's really beautiful to see how far you've come! I've been on my own musical journey for about as long and have always admired your songwriting in particular. Thanks for making this reaction video; it made me laugh out loud a bunch of times. You guys are awesome. :D
Thank you for your music. The chemistry is undeniable. I particularly like the clip with Toni looking like she's fighting through the world's harshest hangover.
Life is good when you can poke fun at yourself. That was loads of fun. Thank you and keep up the great work. I can’t wait till y’all make it back to the east coast again.
Congratulations ladies. I shall be released is still one of my favorite covers of yours. Looking forward to many more years.
