I have this laptop but with 64 gb ram, 4k, rtf 4080 screen and i9 processor. I am a mechanical engineer and do CAD modeling, FEM calculations and 3D scans. The reason why I wanted a laptop like this is for 3D scanning. Unfortunately the battery lasts very short, which limits the mobility a lot. The camera for video calls is also of very poor quality. When you start complex calculations, the laptop gets so loud that you think you can hear a storm, so my colleagues don't like it at all. I love the performance
I just bought studio g10 and there's a annoying fan whistling sound when laptop left on idle..it's very fainty you can only hear when in quiet room, especially right side fan..it's like it goes high and then low...I googled it and it happened to other people...anything on your side? I'm kind of upset cos it's new and I like it..what shall I do?
Very detailed and interesting review! Thank you for your time and efforts. I own a Fury G10 MWS. Mine has i9 13950HX CPU, RTX 3500 Ada Laptop GPU, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD. Build quality is top. Performance is good. I ordered this to replace by 3 year old (still performing good) Omen Ryzen 7 4800H RTX 2060.
Thanks. That Fury G10 spec is the one I will be reviewing in a few weeks time. I love the Fury laptops. Next review will be the Lenovo ThinkPad P1 Gen 6.
@@Rednunzio Though benchmark scores are good, the initial performance is not impressive. My 3 year old Ryzen 7 4800H (Omen) outperformed this so called Mobile WS in opening Unity projects (both new and old projects). Need to update everything and check the performance again. Have not started working on big projects yet on this WS. There is intermittent tuck sound with one of the fans. Keyboard backlight turns off automatically (though i have enabled "never" in BIOS). Have raised these issues with the HP Support and they are sending a technician to resolve. I'm going to place a replacement for this defective WS
Great review, thanks! Disappointing that none of the competition offers 120Hz displays, which is the only reason I am considering this one, or maybe even the G9 which will hopefully be a little bit cheaper now.
Thanks. The Lenovo ThinkPad P1 Gen 6 that's just come out has a 16" WQXGA (2560 x 1600), IPS, Anti-Glare, Non-Touch, 100%sRGB, 500 nits, 165Hz display panel option. Hoping to get my hands on one to review.
@@Dovecomputers Thanks for this, I've been waiting for your review since I saw your Short Based on specs only, would you choose this ZBook Studio G10 or the P1 Gen 6? I guess the Dell Precision could be an option I am considering both of these myself. This will be for techs in the field work building automation programing with in-office MS programs and light CAD on occasion. Both of these look to fit the requirement bill of lightweight, good power. The webcam/battery life on the Studio G10 is so subpar
@@rolandrock022 IMO, the P1 Gen 6 would be the better choice. Higher TGP if you go for the higher spec GPU's. Slightly larger battery than the Studio G10, SD card reader, QHD 500 nits panel is good compromise on 16" vs battery life. ThinkPad build quality for field work. Webcam 1080P better than the Studio. 👍
@@rolandrock022 Indeed, the battery of G10 is slightly smaller than P1, BUT the TGP is higher. Based on the previous gen4, and gen5, the battery life of P1 gen6 could be less than 3 hr (P1 could be very hot). The SD card reader is not necessary for me. I would go for the 13900H, rtx5000, 64G ram (P1) or 13900H, rtx4000, 64G ram (G10) . IMO, working in the field requires a stable machine. And the 4K 120hz DC panel is gorgeous. I might probably take the G10.

Hello. I want to buy myself HP Zbook Studio 16 G10. Does anyone already have this laptop? Tell us how its speakers play, what is the sound quality? I can’t find a review with high-quality sound from the speakers.
Thank you. You reviewed it and talked about the speakers. Maybe you have the opportunity to record a video of how the speakers sound? Or at least shorts? In the review of Studio G9 you recorded a sound example. Thank you
Lack of dedicated Home and End buttons is preventing me from getting this one, and no sd card reader! I have the G7 , might have to go with the Fury and full size keyboard or different brand :-(
I want to like this laptop, but the battery life, pricing, SSD placement between battery, a single SSD only, and lack of HDMI port make this a non-starter for me. Bummer.

Any idea if the models without vapor chamber have good cooling too?

Is it better than MacBook m3 pro max ?
Which one will be better for deep learning model training -- RTX 3000 Ada or RTX 4070? Only focusing on DL and ML work.
It’s now on sale for $1600 starting so you can get one for a decent $2000 with high end gpu and an i7 processor now. Way better than $5000
could you please tell me if it supports external monitor with more than 60 hz. Please and thank you

can I charge this laptop from type-c? What max of power does it support?

Is it possible PD charging while the laptop is on? The HP ENVY model was only able to charge by PD when it was turned off

I don't like the mousepad on these, I constantly make accidental left clicks with it. Very anoying.
