I only wanted to see if there was a box system for the Tmax, but you showed some other col stuff.
It's hot here in Japan, too, in summer, and a lower screen is a good idea (except we have rain in July).

Just a quick question if you can help a fellow t-maxer out. The Engine Covers (left and right)...thinking about ordering those from ebay. Are they easy to apply? Do you put them on top the of the existent ones or do you have to remove the original ones? If so, is it safe to open those original engine covers? Not gonna ruin or leak anything?

Hi Jack, BCD make a replacement panel that helps with ventilation it's the one in front of the fuel panel you might like to check out. I have 2015 Iron Max good fun to ride in the city plenty of useable power with practicality thanks for posting.

Ive ordered it comes in a matt or gloss finish good match for Iron Max. Summer in Sydney Australia soon gets hot here let you know how it goes. Could be a good addition for hot city commuting.
Man that tmax is sick! awesome stuff. But... is there anything yamaha left ?? :))) I really admire that you had the courage to add the top case on. My friends shamed me out of it, but your bike shows you can have a really sporty looking bike with a top case which looks great. I may inspire me to follow in the future...

Great stuff! Just bought the rear splash guard from Taiwan for my 2014 TMax. Installation instructions are lacking. Can you post some pic where yours is attached on the right and left side? Thx JP

Hey, I bought the same sliders for my Tmax 2015 from ebay. Can you tell me how to install them? I found that the original gray bolt is not a tube. There is something inside so I don't know how I'm gonna pass the stick that conect both sliders in each side.
Same with rear wheel. Any help?
Bobadilla Javier sorry I'm not too sure. got my mech to install it for me. I'm assuming the stick replaces what's inside.
hi jack, great review. i just looked at the brand new 2017 t-max at hong leong last week. looking forward to get one next year when my coe expired on my yamaha xjr.
are the parts cost a lot?
It depends on what you upgrade. most cosmetics stuff doesn't cost much. only if you want to upgrade your suspension or your variator/torque spring or exhaust, those things cost upwards of $1k.

oil filter, belt, just the normal parts. replacement.
oil filter, spark plug and oil change probably about $100+. belt you only need to replace every 15-20k. relatively low maintenance.

@ Jack. Beautiful Tmax. How far is Tmax 530 running during normal driving (80-90 km/h) on one liter of gasoline?
you get around 69mpg stock. and 60mpg with the malossi overrange kit
You misunderstood my question. I´ll try again. How many km run a T max 530 of 1 liter of gasoline in normal driving ?
he actually answer your question, 69mpg = 29km / Liter

Liam Lahart yeah get from eBay the handle bar mirrors. there are those similar to rizoma but much cheaper price. you can then remove the original mirrors and replace it with mirror caps.

Muhammad Khairi you can change it yourself. it doesn't open the engine in any way. it's just a cover with screws that are separate.

wwhmusic congrats! what exhaust are you looking for? most people get akra. i got the arrow because of price weight and sound (personal preference). mostly we purchase accessories from tbss though.
I'm not in the tmax group yet. Whats the title of the group? I have watch a few video on akra but the notes of the exhaust were not that great. I have not hear others yet. Quite interested in the crossbar too, how much it cost to ship in? Thx.

hi bro. Singaporean here. may I know where is the iu wire routed from? my iu wire is currently coming out from under the handlebar and I have no idea how to route it behind the dash like yours
Leonard Khoo routed to ignition. you go bike shop the can route for you. when i got my bike they routed it this way.

Leonard Khoo mine goes straight into the front panel. you know where the 4 screws are for windscreen? it goes through one of those.

considering how cheap lcd or even led displays are today, i wonder why hasn't a single motorbike manufacturer come up with an interactive lcd instrument/display panel?
there are bikes with digital dashboards like the xsr900.
key here is "interactive" like whats now had became common on even entry level cars.
