Great clover plot! Problem I have in mine is orchard grass. Deer do not eat it, I tried keeping it mowed but keeps coming back. When or what time of year would you recommend spraying it with clethodim. Keep on keeping on! Chris
So say you frost seeded clovers in March into last years peas and bean plots with the intension of mowing 3 x then broadcasting winter oats, wheat and rye after last mowing, but now torn between broadcasting and no-till drilling with maybe adding a little clover to it....what would you do?
Either will work. If you have the no-till drill I'd probably go that route given it'll give you better seed to soil contact and quicker germination given you'll have the ability to take advantage of the moisture in the soil
I knew someone would ask that and I forgot to take a snapshot of the seed tag when I planted. It was a blend from merit seed that I remember looked good....
I just looked at my receipts and it was the platinum ultra blend they sell which has a couple different alfalfas, ladino and Durana clover, and chicory
Nicely done with all the stages of your plan coming together
Thanks Dennis. Yah it worked out very well

@rockarolla4756 the younger the growth stage the better. So as soon as you see it greening up, hit it!
great video!!!
@@chadilacnissen9717 thanks! It was fun to see it work out so well
Do you remember when you frost seeded?
As soon as the snow melted. I believe it was the beginning of April
Love it

What varieties of clover did you plant Sam?

Done the same, all it takes is rain.
Yes and we've had plenty of that this year!
