July 2023 I am 28 years old in West Africa ( Niger ), trying to upgrade my life. Starting with reading skills. Thanks, Jim for this masterworks you are doing.
Hey Mr Kwik, I’ve been listening to your videos in the car and just around the house for about a month or two now and I’m so inspired by your work and your story! You helped reinforce the mindset that anything including reading fast is learnable for anyone! Keep doing what your doing and don’t let up no matter what! Thanks for being a part of my personal journey to completing my long term goals!
A smashing video as I am learning speed reading right now - thank you so much! 🙏🏼 Please take this in a friendly and constructive way, please become conscious of saying "right" after many of your sentences.
I feel this deep. Wasted my teen years gaming smoking and jerking off. Jumped straight to "adult life" 9 to 5 and all that. Before I got a computer as a kid I loved to learn for the sake of learning
Thank you for sharing!!! I need to read faster to get through the MCAT's CARS (Critical Analysis Reasoning Skills) section... it's killing me. The passages are so boring. I think I can improve on decreasing my subvocalization.
1. Just do it more 2. Read faster so you focus better 3. Dont say the words you’re reading in your head. 4. Reduce the time you waste on rereading words 5 believe in yourself
Ive won and beat the subcocalization i can look at a work and instantly know and understand without subconsciously repeating it and damn it makes it way to easy to read but ive gatta work on remembering it cuz i cant remember it all any tips pls😢
Man I would love to hear a conversation between you and Dr. Huberman the Neuroscientist. You both have given me practical brain strengthening advice lately.
Hi can you explain to me what he meant by saying subvocalisation I did not so much understand my English is not very good He meant we should read loudly?
@@sissi8230 Subvocalization is when you read each word one by one; subvocalization can be done out loud or in your head. Jim Kwik says that we should stay away from subvocalization because it slows us down too much, which causes your brain to seek distraction, leading to less focus. The goal is to read with less subvocalization, so instead of saying the words out loud or in your head, visualize the words instead. I hope this makes sense :)

He emphasized that point multiple times in the Limitless book. You should probably re-read the book.
I have a problem when I start to read a book when I finish the first page I feel lazy so what can I do
Read the second page and then the third. Stop. Rest. Continue. Turn the page.
50% is 20 min of a hour 🤔🤔🤔
