@@oneeyebeauty Ooh I think a beginner video/series would be quite nice! One thing in particular that I would love some tips on is how much of each product to use. I'm sure this varies based on skin type and personal preference, but most of the bottles say "appropriate amount" LOL! Would love some pointers on how much toner vs. serum vs. cream, etc, I should be applying. Also, I forgot to mention I love the Skin1004 Centella Ampoule, so I definitely recommend that one! I just finished my mini size and started using the enormous 100ml bottle ha ha.
@@tea_n_pugs I think the toners are to be applied as much as you like, serums a drop on each part (cheeks and foreheads) and cream as much as possible if not too thick. Hi, I just found your channel earlier, I'm new to k-beauty and I feel very overwhelmed, and I definitely bought a bunch of products that I don't even know what to do with (I'm a very impulsive shopper). What I've seen from you so far is very informative - I was wondering, if you haven't, can you make a video going over the best products for oily / acne prone skin? Since using the Corsrx propolis toner, I no longer have random dry patches during the day😅😅I also use the Axis-y spot serum every second morning because i use a vit c serum on the alternate days. At night I use a retinol serum or cream. I keep a few bottles of the ordinary 10% nicinamide on hand for the nights when I want to add after my retinol routine❤❤❤Wanted to know ur thoughts on the new Coxir peptide cream. My dermatologist said I should add a good thick peptide or ceramide cream as last step at night.

As mentioned in the video, I use the APLB peptide cream which has been so far my best value for money peptide moisturizer. Looking at the ingredients in Coxir peptide cream, it has peptide and glycerin which is another hydrating ingredient like ceramide so I think you could try that..? I'm really curious as well so will try to review it in the NY 🙂

You should try Retinol from Kiehls -> Kiehl's Retinol Fast Release Wrinkle-Reducing Night Serum. It is pretty expensive but it last longer. I have used retinol from Paula’s choice (because influencers said it is the best), but I don’t like the heavy texture on my face, while the retinol from Kiehl’s doesn’t feel heavy at all, my skin absorbed it faster and it give me very calm and smooth face it the morning. When I first buy it, I need to mixed the 2 components so it is freshed made retinol.

Hi my friend, thank you so much for your kind words! I tried the laser back years ago to get rid of one single dark freckle on my face. Pain wise it was bearable and it worked well :) Not sure if I can do more than one spot though I think it will be too painful! I use Vit C serum in the morning to treat my dark spots. It helps to faint my dark spots and keep my skin tone even and healthy. Hi Jocelyn, this really depends on your skin type, but if your skin is not troubled with acne, I recommend using a different cleanser for morning and night. Low acidic in the morning and low alkaline at night as mentioned in this video here ua-cam.com/video/mOEi0P2R92k/v-deo.html And use vit C and retinol at night as they are unstable in daylight (if you can't use both in the same routine can alternate between 2 evenings) and use a nourishing moisturizer at night and so on. I'm preparing a membership area where you can access a skincare library including diffrent routines. I think you might like that so stay tuned to the announcement when it launches 🙂
What do you think about using scrub devices on your face like foreo or something like that? I always get worried that only using my hands to clean won’t get everything off…😅
I'm absolutely against face scrubbing and using exfoliants. There are other methods to keep your skin clean, one of them is to exfoliate by using a gentle skin-exfoliating essence like Mixsoon bean essence. It's amazing. When it comes to reducing fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots, do you think investing in mainstream retinol products from brands like Paula’s Choice, COSRX and Some By Mi are more effective than going for Traditional Korean Hanbang options? Specifically, I'm wondering if splurging on premium panex ginseng brands like Sulwhasoo, Donginbi and The History of Whoo justifies the higher price for better results. What's your perspective on this 🙂?
Hiya, thank you for your question. I think for anti-aging, if retinol works well for you, you should carry on with it every single night. But if your skin works well with premium ginseng, you could use that instead. The quality of ginseng is very important when it comes to Hanbang (Korean herbal) skincare and those brands that you have mentioned use premium quality ginseng so they definitely justify their prices. If you want to test if ginseng works for your skin first before splurging on high-priced products, maybe try an affordable option first like Beauty of Joseon revive serum. See if your skin likes it, then move to the premium brand ginseng product. One day I'll try to do a review of Korean luxurious skincare products 🙂

I believe that the golden premiere ampoule is more collagen rich with peptide and the black 10 revolution is enriched with combination of protein, vitamin, HA & collagen. Which one is more rich? Both are similar but if I have to pick one probably the black one as the golden one to me feels slightly lighter weight and more delicate. In terms of nourishment and moisturization, both are pretty similar. I like the golden one a bit more as it’s more smooth and silky. Seeing what you said last, I think you will like the golden one 🙂

have you done a video about retinol? not sure how i feel about using it. i tried it once and my skin felt super soft but im worried about damaging my skin or being sort of addicted using it because once you start you cant stop!?
Hi my friend, I haven't done video on just retinol. If you're over 30 I think it would be absolutely ok to get addicted to it tbh. I started after turning 40, wish I started sooner. It is one of the best ingredients for anti-aging and you will see the difference after using it for a long time. Some can't use it as it can be irritating to the skin. You're lucky if it makes your skin feel soft! If your skin loves it, it will not damage so don't stop. If you're concerned start with a low percentage then gradually move up. The ordinary has many retinol serums in various percentages. 🙂
Hey, do you mean the HYALURONIC ACID 2% + B5 serum? If yes applying that after the retinol serum is great as retinol can dehydrate the skin a little, so you will be able to prevent it by applying on the HA serum 🙂

One major thing I've learned about exfoliating after doing a lot of research and study, is that once over 40, you should refrain from exfoliating as it takes longer for the skin to recover. Dead skin cells are on our faces to protect our skin, and by removing it it will not help to smooth the skin but will aggravate it. I would suggest for you to use a serum with skin softening ingredients such as ceramides, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, vitamin C etc. You can find some from this video and my best of 2023 video here ua-cam.com/video/nSBKhsy0M1E/v-deo.html Hope this helps :)

Hi, I just found your channel earlier, I'm new to k-beauty and I feel very overwhelmed, and I definitely bought a bunch of products that I don't even know what to do with (I'm a very impulsive shopper). What I've seen from you so far is very informative - I was wondering, if you haven't, can you make a video going over the best products for oily / acne prone skin? I've never really had acne problems until a few months ago and it's just getting worse. Or is there any chance that you would do a skin consultation? I'd pay - I just want direction for my skin... Keep up the good videos, I've learned a good amount from you already :)

Since using the Corsrx propolis toner, I no longer have random dry patches during the day😅😅I also use the Axis-y spot serum every second morning because i use a vit c serum on the alternate days. At night I use a retinol serum or cream. I keep a few bottles of the ordinary 10% nicinamide on hand for the nights when I want to add after my retinol routine❤❤❤Wanted to know ur thoughts on the new Coxir peptide cream. My dermatologist said I should add a good thick peptide or ceramide cream as last step at night.

As mentioned in the video, I use the APLB peptide cream which has been so far my best value for money peptide moisturizer. Looking at the ingredients in Coxir peptide cream, it has peptide and glycerin which is another hydrating ingredient like ceramide so I think you could try that..? I'm really curious as well so will try to review it in the NY 🙂

You should try Retinol from Kiehls -> Kiehl's Retinol Fast Release Wrinkle-Reducing Night Serum. It is pretty expensive but it last longer. I have used retinol from Paula’s choice (because influencers said it is the best), but I don’t like the heavy texture on my face, while the retinol from Kiehl’s doesn’t feel heavy at all, my skin absorbed it faster and it give me very calm and smooth face it the morning. When I first buy it, I need to mixed the 2 components so it is freshed made retinol.

@oneeyebeauty I only started using it 0.1%, but the brand has a range of up to 1%. It is on the pricey side in comparison to the Ordinary products.

Hi my friend, thank you so much for your kind words! I tried the laser back years ago to get rid of one single dark freckle on my face. Pain wise it was bearable and it worked well :) Not sure if I can do more than one spot though I think it will be too painful! I use Vit C serum in the morning to treat my dark spots. It helps to faint my dark spots and keep my skin tone even and healthy. Hi Jocelyn, this really depends on your skin type, but if your skin is not troubled with acne, I recommend using a different cleanser for morning and night. Low acidic in the morning and low alkaline at night as mentioned in this video here ua-cam.com/video/mOEi0P2R92k/v-deo.html And use vit C and retinol at night as they are unstable in daylight (if you can't use both in the same routine can alternate between 2 evenings) and use a nourishing moisturizer at night and so on. I'm preparing a membership area where you can access a skincare library including diffrent routines. I think you might like that so stay tuned to the announcement when it launches 🙂

I'm absolutely against face scrubbing and using exfoliants. There are other methods to keep your skin clean, one of them is to exfoliate by using a gentle skin-exfoliating essence like Mixsoon bean essence. It's amazing. When it comes to reducing fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots, do you think investing in mainstream retinol products from brands like Paula’s Choice, COSRX and Some By Mi are more effective than going for Traditional Korean Hanbang options? Specifically, I'm wondering if splurging on premium panex ginseng brands like Sulwhasoo, Donginbi and The History of Whoo justifies the higher price for better results. What's your perspective on this 🙂?
Hiya, thank you for your question. I think for anti-aging, if retinol works well for you, you should carry on with it every single night. But if your skin works well with premium ginseng, you could use that instead. The quality of ginseng is very important when it comes to Hanbang (Korean herbal) skincare and those brands that you have mentioned use premium quality ginseng so they definitely justify their prices. If you want to test if ginseng works for your skin first before splurging on high-priced products, maybe try an affordable option first like Beauty of Joseon revive serum. See if your skin likes it, then move to the premium brand ginseng product. One day I'll try to do a review of Korean luxurious skincare products 🙂

I believe that the golden premiere ampoule is more collagen rich with peptide and the black 10 revolution is enriched with combination of protein, vitamin, HA & collagen. Which one is more rich? Both are similar but if I have to pick one probably the black one as the golden one to me feels slightly lighter weight and more delicate. In terms of nourishment and moisturization, both are pretty similar. I like the golden one a bit more as it’s more smooth and silky. Seeing what you said last, I think you will like the golden one 🙂

have you done a video about retinol? not sure how i feel about using it. i tried it once and my skin felt super soft but im worried about damaging my skin or being sort of addicted using it because once you start you cant stop!?
Hi my friend, I haven't done video on just retinol. If you're over 30 I think it would be absolutely ok to get addicted to it tbh. I started after turning 40, wish I started sooner. It is one of the best ingredients for anti-aging and you will see the difference after using it for a long time. Some can't use it as it can be irritating to the skin. You're lucky if it makes your skin feel soft! If your skin loves it, it will not damage so don't stop. If you're concerned start with a low percentage then gradually move up. The ordinary has many retinol serums in various percentages. 🙂

Hey, do you mean the HYALURONIC ACID 2% + B5 serum? If yes applying that after the retinol serum is great as retinol can dehydrate the skin a little, so you will be able to prevent it by applying on the HA serum 🙂

Hiya, thank you for your question. One major thing I've learned about exfoliating after doing a lot of research and study, is that once over 40, you should refrain from exfoliating as it takes longer for the skin to recover. Dead skin cells are on our faces to protect our skin, and by removing it it will not help to smooth the skin but will aggravate it. I would suggest for you to use a serum with skin softening ingredients such as ceramides, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, vitamin C etc. You can find some from this video and my best of 2023 video here ua-cam.com/video/nSBKhsy0M1E/v-deo.html Hope this helps :)
