As someone who was in the indie-film scene years ago writing, shooting, directing, and is now an FPV reviewer/racer with a small channel. I am absolutely blown away how you seem to know intuitively so many of the things that it would normally take someone years in film school, or grinding out short films to learn.
I struggle to integrate the two things, and normally just put out my FPV tutorials/reviews to be good enough (which is still better than 85% out there).
Your patience, willingness to learn, and ability to execute is an inspiration to anyone wanting to learn anything. I enjoyed the flight video very much, but i enjoyed the making of soooo much. Please keep doing this stuff. And i really encourage you to get on set somewhere with someone. You have many things that cannot be taught. A good eye, a good ear, and a very strong understanding on the pacing of how shots should go. ESPECIALLY the curves around the van, look like they could fall EASILY into a David Fincher movie, and reminded me of the CGI shots they created for Fight Club. No Mr. Steele around back them, that could have gotten them the real thing. Thank you for this.
Dude. 🤗🙏🏼. This was such a good read to start out my day. I’m
Glad someone understands my pain haha. I go through a lot trying to perfect something that I just can’t put my finger on but I know it’s not right until it is. I truly appreciate your time and understanding for my strange audio video altitudes haha. Cheers man. Hope to meet you one day
Your reviews suck! You should not be reviewing things you cant properly fly. And stop the rating of products with lame incompetent scoring, i give it a 8.4 no wait a 8.5 for not including a gopro mount on this 160$ bnf. You are a joke.
Cinematic Soul: " let's fly as smooth as possible"
Freestyle soul: "flip it thumb...!"
Cinematic soul: "shut up freestyle.. ., keep going thumb"
Freestyle soul: "Oh come on... . What kind of fly is this"
Cinematic soul: "keep focus thumb, we're almost there... ."
Thumb: "I'm trying so hard 😖 I'm shaking right now"
Freestyle soul: "full throttle... . . . . !!! Backflip, 360, 720, Ollie do it all guys.. ."
Thumb: cold sweating 😫
Haha. Basically my brain in a nut shell
@@MrSteeleFPV 😂
I trash my house when I fly a micro around
Through the eyes of Steele makes you feel like a super hero. Thanks for the info bro it’s really helpful.
💪🙏🏼🤙🏼
I like this. Really putting an emphasis on audio and I'm sure I'm not the only one that appreciates it.
Really liked the audio work, imagined how you recorded it with a fieldrecorder when watching the tour for the first time :)
don't you think that after a little more time experimenting with and diving into rates/expo you could fly like the edited one - like without those little twitches? it would be like 100% prediction flying to have no twitch at all. i'm curious if you may think it's (im)possible.
Have you tried the GepRC CinePro 4k with the F722? I fly it with the RDQ 4s HV 650mah and get 4 minutes of flight time charging it to 4.20v standard charging. To be a ducted quad, it handles great and smoother than I thought it would be. I am a newer pilot and have no troubles flying out a whole pack without crashing. I have some crappy videos I have posted on my FPV channel. (StikyWaynerd FPV) I wished I had a sd card on the last flight I posted. I lost it a couple of day before on another great flight trying to practice cinematic style flying. I highly recommend you giving it a shot.
So I had no idea what real steady was up until today, do you have any idea how may video's this has ruined for me because they stand out now like a sore thumb. Haha, thanx dude for keeping it real and honest. I thought these people were super human pilots. mean while....
Haha I mean. It’s a tool. And people that use this tool can be extremely talented pilots. But. Yeah the butter you see is usually a program unless it’s raw. And now you’ll be able to spot it easily
@@MrSteeleFPV And in turn, I feel great now because I worked my ass off to learn to fly smooth and clean, to know I may not need a program to get my HD clean and to fly smooth is extremely rewarding. But on the other side, I do understand the potential and don't dis the use of the software, all depends on what the focus of the content is really then.
ONE THING I MUST ASK THOUGH @MRSTEELE HOW DID YOU GET THE WHIP TO REV UP RIGHT AS YOU CAME UP BEHIND IT FROM AROUND THE BACK OF THE HOUSE? THAT TO ME WAS THE MOST IMPRESSING PART. I DIDN'T SEE ANYONE IN THE CAR BUT WAS THERE? OH WAIT NOW THAT I ASK THIS QUESTION IT SOUNDS STUPID YOU JUST USED THE RECORDER I SEE DUH LOL
Did you use angle mode indoors at any time?
Or change the rates/tune at all for that clip?
If not, how did you get it so dead steady going slow in dirty air?
Of course mad skill is paramount, but even a couple ticks of gimbal glitch can make a 5" hella pissed in a small turbulent room.
.
All “rate” mode all the time. And no I didn’t change anything out of the norm as far as rates. My quad just handles air like you see lol. No dirty air issues although I’m never really in “dirty” air I’m always moving forward
@@MrSteeleFPV Right on.. maybe I should pay more attention to your parts/builds/technical vids vs your flying.. only so many hours in the day tho.
Oh my freaking deity. Steele, Airblaster video are the most epic and inspirational I ever watched. You’re amazing...he’s epic. Please work together. We need an amazing FPV documentary of the planet. GO!
Cinematic FPV somehow compiled with your ripping skills will be top notch!
I don't think he mentioned it but the Hero 6 responds better to Reel Steady Go than the Hero 7.
I did.
But yes. This ^
Incredible and as always I couldn't stop watching the DVR ! ! !
🥃cheers🍻
Props to Airblastr, he deserves a lot more subs than he has... Yes go check him out!
Yes cool audio.. Few little things off, but really good, one thing you should have put in was the branch knock. Lol
Haha. I did what I felt I had time for. The audio as it is took me like 3+ hours to record and edit
You are Amazing, Steele, You don't just realize a great job with your previous video, but you also explain it ! Thanks ! It's Ethix Spirit
yeet's all around

Democratisation of knowledge ftw
Aside from the amazing flying. The time you took to add the little minute things as you traveled. Not sure if most people would have caught it but it did catch my attention. Like the bathroom and the show on the Tv. Through each section of your home. Thank you for explain the process Your just as amazing and articulate with your video/Production work as you are with your flying. Sorry for dulling. give credit where credit is due. Very Professional work. Look forward with more of the new content. Love the old just as much. I bet that was refreshing working with . Sorry Trading styles with someone you have something in common but yet so different. For me flying gives me the freedom and the views of my surrounding I could never imagine. That's one of the motivators that keeps me flying. Thank You for motivating me every day when I fly before and after work. The hard work really shows and I think you set a new Bar for others to fallow. :)
Thank you Michael :)
It’s rare people notice. But when they do. I take it to heart. So thank you
Basically, you could re-shoot most parts of the film "Enter the void". Spoiler Alert : A guy dies at the beguinning of the film and his soul floats (like your drone) through space and time, whitnessing casual or key events in his life and that of his relatives.
Trailer : ua-cam.com/video/hwTmc8L8TaA/v-deo.html
Hahah. Maybe I should hit them up for round 2!
wow you put a lot of work and effort into this. Great job man. You've been my miniquad hero since you first started uploading back in 2015/2016. It's been great watching you grow and get better
🙏🏼. Thanks man. I’m just tryin got keep it real. I’m passionate about what I do. And hopefully that shows
You were right, raw footage was pure butter (but still can see some hi freq oscillation especially in Lotus orbit section). Anyway, stunning footage, next level.
I definitely dig the fisheye effect added by RSGO, it is the cherry on top.
bragee it’s not adding fisheye it’s removing it :)
@@zeDoSauRus well, not properly because if you look (just for instance) at minute 11:01 you can notice that the van is smaller in the edited footage... Maybe the word "fisheye" is not the best definition for that effect but is definitely the closest I know.
Cheers mate
I want to see you go under the Elise! haha very cool thanks for the content 👍
Yo... the first time I watched it I really didn’t notice the audio.... but now I hear and it really does give the video that extra juice.... freaking epic bro!
🥤 🍉
I still can't believe the control you have with the quad. I mean I've only been flying for a year but everything is so dang smooth even without "real steady go". Keep them coming Steele.
Nice Crib & Dope Lotus! I’m glad to see your hard work is paying off🙃
AND Tesla!!! Not too shabby!
Don't think realSteady go did all that much work. Even using a cheater program I think you put more time in for a great finished product! Nice flying bro! And here comes the wave of Instagram dm's! Lol BTW I think you need a roommate in that badazz house! Lmao maybe Mis. Steve will show up lol
Haha. Maybe mis Steve. Lol. One day when I slow down Hahahaha. But thanks man. I tried my best to make it fun and unique with the sound editing
@@MrSteeleFPV Awesome job with the Crib! And just giving PROPS😂 where their due! Love your work and vision for uniqueness!
And why with the same video equipment I never got same dvr quality...
Idk man. My stuff is magically better.. lol
Not
lol how many mosquitos got in your house after that?
None. I don’t like in the bayou lol
Mr Steele haha I wonder what that’s like.. if I leave my doors open for 30 seconds they infiltrate 😂
How do you give a thumbs down to an informative video? is it because they already know it all and didn't learn anything new? Is it because they're too stoooopid to learn ... maybe they are just ballsaxxx ... I don't know ... hmmm .... I don't know.
Haters
Haha 😂. The woke up with an 🍆 in their 👁 Don’t blame them, they can’t see well with all that gack in their eyes.
I got that reelsteadygo about a week ago. Been trying to make it work with my session 5 and black 7 and its just rendering the footage worse. Still tweakin around with it though. Starting to think, going to need a hero 6 for the program unless I make a funny springy mount for the quad ugh. Awesome video though as usual, love your footage. The crickets in this one did throw me alil in the day time :)
With those cams you have to build this weird ziptie credit card GoPro mount to isolate the camera from the frame vibes. This is why I use the hero 6. Because it just works with standard mounting. There are a few videos on how to mount the GoPro 7 and session 5 out there. Checkm our
@@MrSteeleFPV Ya, to much work with that credit card swipe toothpick ziptie trick. Plus I like my quad lookin like a Lamborghini not something you would see from a Grateful Dead bus build :) To splurge or not to splurge :)
Bruh do some more of these at some of those dope ATL spots, would be a cool change of pace to your normal flying there
i wonder was your camera tilt much less then the usual 25/30 as you were cruising? you are truly "livin the dream" beautiful house
15% on this one.
😨
Pretty interesting walkthrough and I went back to the actual video. As I always say.. yer shit is dope
🙏🏼🤙🏼
Thanks steele that was so cool scary part is your raw flight looks almost as smooth as the finished one . Well i have lots of practice to do lol
You just need get into videography, that is why I’m here, learning so I can be able to use this footage on my videos.
Get a Sony or Nikon Z camera and a couple thousand on lens and start doing videos
What do you think I shot the monologue part on ? A GoPro
Lol. Look at that bokeh
Mr Steele like a f1.8 or 1.4 prime lens.
I’m just get to much into fpv when I’m looking your videos. That I forgot why I’m actually here. Btw Nice video in your house
Awesome job dude. Loved this.
Awesome postprocessed footage and awesome raw, great grading and lovely audio. Thank you a lot for sharing your tips!
🤙🏼🙏🏼
I would not be able to sleep in that home all by myself. I would make sure I had a guest every night, someone armed with a particular set of skills.....
Hahha. What if you had those skills though
@@MrSteeleFPV well, I guess you take appropriate measures to secure a good nights sleep.....like deleting this virtual map an obsessed stoker can use to plot an attack. lol
It’s great to see you trying new things. I mean, the lifestyle stuff is fantastic, but I’m a dork and like to nerd out on stuff, so this is like air to me.
Breath it in my dude :). It’s so fun trying new and exciting things. I’m happy to share my experiences with the learning process. It only helps everyone in the long run
What is your runcam camera tilt on this video?
About 🌲 fitty
15% degrees
So 7.5 deg 👍😁
Very nice! Its almost exactly done the way I expected it to be. Only thing I didn't expect Was that you actually walked around. I had the impression, that it was just panned and faded samples.
One question: what cam angle did you use to fly that slow?
I lowered fpv cam
Angle to about 15 degrees
@@MrSteeleFPV ah Yea. Else you would have been too fast! If you want to get even more cinematic, you could use a very wide cinema Format like 21:9.
Also I think capturing multiple Audiosources each mono, Position them 3d an move virtually through that scene could Enhance the immersion.
One Clip idea I would really like to realize is a distance flight through interesting Terrain. As I think of something that doesn't work long range I would simply reposition myself and try to make it Look like a single take.
This is awesome, shows that the aggressive flying you do has a slow cinematic side as well. And I would love to try this, BUT i would have clipped something, like going out the window over the LOTUS and then the rest would be me crying with the drone in the back glass! haha
Hahha. It’s ok there’s no hack glass in a lotus hahhhhahah. Jp. I totally get that though. I just try not to think to much about it. And preform rather than get stuck on the what if
@@MrSteeleFPV Haha my bad, i forgot that it has the clam shell and the glass isn't right there, but still hitting it would hurt. But you are exactly right I fly so much better when I don't put the worry or pressure on a flight! And I will take that advice to good practice! Thanks for the reply!
So i suppose that you record a noise by yourselfs. It's a little bit over "saturated" noise, specifycly a ourside bugs noise sound unnaturall as hell. But overall a really good job! and i think nice to you to have it on yours portfolio.
And question to you on the end. It was hard to don;t make any tricks? It was a lot of oportunities to knife-edge or s-split's.
Haha
Yes I recorded everything. And idk what to say because those are the actual noises from those locations around me actual house haha I didn’t bump the loudness or anything. It’s just that loud
Sweet house Steele! You need to talk about this more in the podcast!
Just moved in my dude :)
12:06 - 12:08 some serious shit.........
Just listened to the FailSafe where you all shat on the swoosh noises! hahaha. sweet behind the scenes look.
When done poorly they suck lol
More psychedelic for Mr.Steele , please, 👏 bravo
your house is so amazing, i also tried reel steady go but with a session 5. but it doesnt work. I think it only works good with a hero 6 , but not with other gopro camera's. Or you have to make something with tywraps to mount your camera. but thats the part i dont like about it.
What do you think about the new dji fpv system. Are you gonna make a vid about it?
Aleks Müller I think he mentioned them sending him a set up but he wasn’t going to make a video.
I don’t think I’ll make a video. Although I do have it. And I’m not impressed enough to justify building a derogates drone to house it. Works great on paper. And in a small open field. But not so much for how I fly
when do we get some raw rippage of that property...looks like a dope FPV spot
Haha. Soon
Mr. Steve with the Charpu hair, looks good on yuh! Video was epic, like all your stuff, and you are the man!
💪
Great Flying!!!
👍😀👍
Thoughts after watching: comparison with the "just-" Gopro footage was amazing. I do like the "normal" look much, much more. Not really into the cinematic videos. They look so much like a movie and I don't wanna see movies but people fly.
Glad you found a new fire though and hoping you'll still also put out the usual flying stuff. ,)
I get that
Agree 100%, I want to see how good the pilot is, not how good their software/editting is.
@@FPV-wi8fw Matter of what one wants I guess, I see how making this kind of stuff can be challenging and fun. Luckily there should be enough audience for both kinds of videos. ,)
Qc35’s are heaven
#truefacts
Excellent video, this one and the Cine one. Inspired me to try the same. Nice change of pace to slow things down and not doing crazy flippy flippy shit all the time. Keep it up.
Instant likes from me dude Oh, Villa Steel is beautiful man!
♓️😂✊🏽
That's one wicked house Mr Steele!
Does the ukulele quad fly?
Gave me an idea.. How about a ue boom quad, anyone done that haha
Hha yes it actually does. Not well
But I dove a building with it
👍
Wow... gorgeous place..... Amazing stick skills.... You should race one year... Embarras people that race religiously.... And win it all and walk away on top....huh... Its had to of crossed your mind....just sayin...i enjoy everything you give us. Thank you!
The sound def topped it off🤘
Insane footage. Even without Reelsteady this is smooth as fuck. Actually Reelsteady was so fast in rendering because it had nothing to do. One question Steele, are you flying with PAL or NTSC on your Runcam? I can't decide which I like more so I would love to hear an opinion from a pro.
It’s called sound design! Y’all
Hi Mr. Steele!
I am writing to you about Hungary.
I owe a lot to your videos and I learned a lot from what you saw.
I'm not writing this as an insult, but it's more of a big-screen video. Your previous videos are chasing success. I'm sorry I reacted that way.
Hi, Richard
It turned out great! How about a reelsteady tutorial to show the process you went through.
check out Nurk FPV's video where he covers the nuts and bolts of ReelSteady. It should answer most of your questions.
@@djbis I've seen it, I would like to see Steeles' perspective on it, thanks
How did you do the faster paced parts? Like that one when u flew out the window to the trees and around the Van? Did you had to run or did you try to make the audio faster without changing its audio-pitch?
All the audio is real time. I just blended a bunch of clips together from different sections of the yard to give the illusion that the drone is moving quickly
@@MrSteeleFPV oh ok. Nicely done. Cant See any blend. But next time i will watch closely ;)
Do you use an ND filter with Reelsteady Go and Hero 6?
You can. I didn’t need to in this instance
Awesome! Thank you for sharing the secret sauce!!
🤗
Inspiring. The whooshes when flying by posts/trees could be a little more varied (also with a big sub they're quite pronounced), but still very nice. Thanks for the process explanation, you started to go into why you were using a Hero6, but never finished. I suspect it's because the hero6 has better isolation of its gyros than the hero7 with hypersmooth (which needs to be off for this). I have the hero7, so I am having to do some extra isolation of my mount to get RealSteady to work right...
Anyway, thanks man!
wow bro that was koool!
talk about taming the wild beast with precise throttle control woooo!!!
bet it took everything you had not to get funky like usual haha!!!
did you just use your normal foam wedge for the stabilising here?
Yup. Typically foam wedge like I use on my freestyle rigs
@@MrSteeleFPV damn... interesting.. i just bought reelsteady and trying it on older footage.. shows just how shaky the pids and stuff really were.. interesting how using the software is kinda more of a reductive than additive process too .. i like that.. alot of the time sync isnt even needed.. im using it with a session 5 though so..Gopro sessison 5 gyro really seems to be very sensitive to mid to high range throttle oscs..
tht look at the camera when you landed on the bed and knew you just did that. haha classic! you inspire all of us @MrSteele i fly 2306 1700kv its so smooth on 6s 7" i need to make another build on 5" and see how much more or less i like it... maybe i could use your motors for 1750kv ... great flying G
Fantastic job, dude. Really amazing video!!!
Not hating, but putting a car revving sound when there's no one in the car is exactly what you're complaining about, lol! Still cool to see you stepping up your game and excited to see what you come out with next.
So not to throw shade back at you but there’s such thing as “remote start..”. The car started up and was idling. There was no Revving. Soo yeah bite me
🤗
@@MrSteeleFPV nice! If that's just the start up noise then I stand corrected.
Haha yeah it revs up when it starts. Like a new Miata. And the idle is higher to warm up quicker. Yeah if you listen closely you’ll hear the starter
Your last 2 vids are bomb! Getting more and more pro dude
A known understanding about the nature of our approximations is this.
The level of clarity we can fathom depends on the ratio of audio quality to video quality.
A 4k footage looks fine with out audio,
The moment you add high fidelity acoustics to that 4k footage the experience of perception becomes a more profound event
Most Audio Philes know that supreme audio fidelity is the root of the ultimate experience.
Hence the nature of a audiophile is considered the most intricate execution of all electronic sub culture.
A audiophile would chose a subwoofer thats rated at 200w with a rms of 150w and a thd rating of .0001 over one thats rated peak watts of 1000w rms of 100w and a thd rating of .001.
The difference between the 2 speakers is a profound level of clarity. 🤷♂️✌️
The analog feed is perfect. Barely any noise or lines. How did u get it so perfect? I've tried caps, lc filters, camera power from vtx.. All no go
Ask ciotty fpv for one of his 2 inches quads and give it a try with a GoPro , u can go in places where a 5 can not go
Hahah still fly like shit compared to my 5”
GoPro is really too heavy for small micro's... I did these shoots on 2", but you can tell it's not GoPro quality cameras (and no RealSteady either).
Still - no way you could fly a 5" racing drone there ;)
ua-cam.com/video/pujWMncJFRw/v-deo.html
vimeo.com/338997614
Pretty well executed. Though my only gripe is that the swooshes were inconsistent and I preferred that they weren't there at all (as you said, just didn't fit in). But, other than that, fantastic job. I look forward to whatever else you produce.
Awesome!!! Loved the RSG video! And thank you for doing this behind the scenes...
It looks like readysteady go zoom out the center section of the video and the border section is zoom in to 50% just to stabilize the video. If that's the case... there is no point buying the program. That's my theory because image size still looks the same, but smoother. Mmmmmm....... I need to test this out.
Knew it. I'd still say it's 90% flying skills and 10% finishing it up in post. Can't have good output without good input. Huge props man.
I’m high school I took 2 years of audio video and one of the projects was foley effect and it’s a great little thing to do. Just completely mute the original clips and put in all audio that would be around you and it’s pretty damn enlightening
Very Good video and Audio was a new piece , Steele mate what sort of Antennas are you using?
Mad mushroom and the vas crosshair. With a TBS Triumph Pro on the quad
@@MrSteeleFPV thnks bro
nice video. quick thought about sound: in my opinion sometimes it's better to use sounds which underline the story... e.g. gunshots in western are often canon shot's, so the shot get's more weight... i'm getting a bit tired of all those "fly by sounds"
Do you think you'll try this again with the CineRat for comparison?
Nope. 😂
@@MrSteeleFPV fair enough lol
Thank you for your videos, I'm going to watch all your videos tomorrow and maybe that will help me figure out how to get my leader 120 set up in beta flight and in my transmitter. Your the man.
I don’t do much with betaflight or beta anything but maybe Joshua Bardwell can help ? Or you might be able to find some similar work arounds in my videos
Your throttle management is crazy good. It's something I've been working on in a big way here of late and it's boring to work on but I can tell it's made me a better pilot for sure. Do you have any pointers on getting better?
The audio was the icing.
Suuuper slick
I am just happily waiting to see when Airblstr throws down with some cheater footage while using his multiple mounting options. Really want to be able to fly with him for a few days as well as you guys. No pressure just hang out and fly.
Great vid!! Think you need a couple more garages tho. 🤣
Freaking outstanding!!
You lower your FPV cam tilt down from 25. for shots like this? To what, 10-15?
Its interesting to see what little bobs and wiggles that program does iron out along with the other changes. Is it also changing the aspect ratio? Or rather was that down on purpose
Are you using slower rates for a more controllable cinematic look or are they the same as your freestyle rates?
No I am not. Same as my standard rates. Just being light on the sticks
Mr Steele nice to know, thanks for the reply :)

So both i think look amazing but i feel like i prefer the raw more idk why just looks better in my opinion. But both look great.
Awesome clip! Thanks for sharing how it was done! Loved seeing both side by side like that.
