This video finally elucidated for me that heating/cooling foods are essentially just acidic vs alkaline (basic) foods.
I have been trying to understand what the heating/cooling thing means for ages, and it basically is just a translation error.

He was wrong in case of Satvic diet. Ayurveda is not limited to Satvic diet. Ask any good Ayurvedic doctor, they will tell you the same. Even Non-veg, they won't ask you to stop eating it (Unless you have some specific health concern) but normally Ayurvedic doctors have no problem with that.

    Challenges & pain points:
    1. Sunrise time in Mumbai - 7:15 am, Sunset - 6:30 pm; Office time 10 am to 6 pm. So breakfast & lunch is done right, not dinner. I'm sure 95% of people face the same problem.
    2. Renowned doctors these days do not recommend milk because of the hormonal imbalances that can occur due to cows injected for more production of milk. Infact, they ask to eliminate dairy altogether (which makes sense these days)
    3. Not just milk, the source of every food is unknown to 99% of people. This is the major problem I can foresee. We do not know the quality of fruits & vegetables that we buy. This is a major problem that needs to solved, or atleast to start with, we should know the source.
    4. Your eyes are open till midnight because of various reasons - upgrading yourself, studying, some office chores, freelancing etc because of which you feel hungry & you tend to eat snacks anyways, which is after sunset. Practically, it becomes extremely difficult to follow word to word.
And hence I wish I could go back to village and live like a villager. Truly, this has become a dream.

Our body's mechamism is capable of fighting almost everything. So try and stop fussing as far possible. Yes, the quality of foods we get today aren't of excellent quality. But if I can't afford organic food, I'll have the normal food still and be grateful I'm getting food when I'm hungry.
The level at which we're fucked up today with maida, sugar, dalda, etc, if we stop having them and follow a healthier diet, more than half our problems would be gone already.
Never let best become the enemy of better. Hope this helps!

    1. Eat between sun rise and sun set. Milk is the only food allowed to be consumed after sunset
    2. Eat seasonal fresh fruits and vegetables grown in the local region (100 km radius). Food should be tasty.
    3. Eat consciously and quantity of food is based on your appetite. Listen to your body. Drink water sip by sip
