What a great fix!!
Good tip on pulling the engine over slow with the plug out! I had a vapor fire once on a small engine and it’s not fun!

Very good job. I did the same thing with an old green machine trimmer. Works amazingly and starts with little to no effort.

I’ve gotten the needle back in on the first try a few times, sometimes it takes multiple try’s, and sometimes I’ve lost the spring.
I have a C1Q to rebuild this weekend. The chineseum replacement isn’t cutting it.
Ingenious repair.
Can be fiddly and with the size of my hands I struggle thanks for watching

I had an old mower off a friend none runner but me and my dad took off the carb and soaked it in oil overnight then we put it back on put petrol in one pull it started right up I took it to my sisters house cos my brother in law wanted to borrow it and I said put it on facebook and the next day it sold for 20 quid

In the last couple of months I found a blower and a hedge trimmer in trash piles. BOTH of them had bad fuel lines...and that's all that was wrong with them. If the hedge trimmer has more than a hour of run time on it, I'd be shocked.

Good morning my friend.. just woken up from a night shift with riley boy under the sheets having a tickle on my toes.. little git.. I'm good my mate all doing ok and keeping safe. Hows the family doing?glad you liked the video mate it was doing my head in that one.. still it's running and sold now and to the next.
Remember Mick most primer bulbs suck up from the tank through the carb and send it back to tank, by priming may cause the carb to starve while running...not a 100 %on that theory, what u think...

It's on my list.. his bedroom is safe it the upper part of the house that needs doing..

Hey man I bought this same one used but the gas cap says to use 25:1 or 20:1 is this the wrong cap or is that the correct ratio?
Morning mate ..if it says 20 to 1 or 25to 1 with modern oils you can use 40 to 1. That's what I do.. hope that helps
Can I use a carb that has a choke when the original didn't have one I just don't want to mess anything up it's on a push mower
You can do as long as the carb is identical elsewhere, make sure the choke is off and cannot be adjusted though if it has a primer instead. Like with the RV150 or SV150 mower with the primer bulb at the front.
All depends on the engine. Alot that pedro has said is correct however before doing it you will need to consider throttle linkages,governor springs air box fittings things like that.. what engine are you swapping to yours
