Don’t get me wrong, Lost In the Woods is super catchy, but this song is not only far more in character for both of them but also portrays a much healthier and mutual relationship. Also, I really just love the vocal depths they let Groff go in this song.
Galactic Jewels lost in the woods felt WAY too out of place. This feels more appropriate for the vibes of the movie

Yeah, I like seeing them interact more. While the final movie focuses on the journey to the woods and Elsa’s development, it would have been nice to see Anna and Kristoff interact and develop together than Kristoff struggling alone to propose throughout the whole movie. Might change the final movie and the direction if this scene happens near the beginning, but it’s really interesting.

My theory is that they were going to have this in the film (which is why they have Geoff and Bell sing it), but then they thought of Kristoff singing a song about his feelings in the style of boy band (coupled with changing the plot where Kristoff gets “left” in the woods)

This is literally better than the official animatic - the official animatic is more whimsical, but this captures the characters and chemistry better than Kristoff watching fish kiss. The spinning at the end is just perfection.
It also feels more loving. In the official animatic Anna's more weirded out by how awkward Kristoff is being while in this animatic Anna is more like "Yeah, this is my awkward boyfriend. He's precious. I love him."
She would more likely be like this is normal 😂 shes been with him for a bit afterall

If I presented this to someone as original storyboarding from the frozen 2 production NO ONE would question it. I'm honestly blown away by the quality of this work. The creativity in the first part, the way he sings to the painting, the way they both look exactly like themselves, the amount of frames it must have taken to get the dancing so smooth, just... everything about this is so perfect. Hey yo Disney, u hiring? I gotchu a star animator!

The only reason why I questioned whether it was original or not was that it was too detailed.. deleted scenes usually only get quick rough sketches, while this is more than a simple animatic, almost an animation!

One of my complaints of frozen two is that some of the animation didn’t evoque that much emotion but what you have done is way better than anything in the movie. You made the character show their emotions SO much!!! Disney has to hire you ASAP
I ship the version of Anna and Kristoff with this song a hell of a lot more. Lost in the Woods just made me feel like Anna didn’t care about Kristoff. Kinda gave me some toxic vibes tbh. This one gives Kristoff more personality and makes Anna a more loving partner. Pity they didn’t keep it in the movie
Okay, but I take issue with this comment. No relationship is perfect and it is very normal to have insecurities or for things not to feel balanced all the time. It is very problematic to only ship something if it is sunshine and rainbows.
Right! Kristoff was done so dirty in the movie. His entire arc was about proposing to Anna yet having a romantic arc with just one person is not complete at all. It felt like he was trying so hard and she wasn't at all. The actual proposal just felt empty and out of place to me. In my opinion they should've made the proposal a short rather than sneak it into the movie as kristoffs only point of being there.
I think they wanted to focus more on family love than romantic love. Thus, the removal of the scene. But I will not say that the movie was lack with it. And I really love when Kristoff said that his love is not fragile in the movie
I don't really feel thats fair. The bad thing Anna did was leave Kristoff behind when Elsa wanted to go north. Anna didn't want to leave Kristoff behind and was upset by the dilemma. She just knew Elsa would ditch her is she didn't go then. She had to make a choice. Her decision to leave Kristoff behind was more of an extension of Elsa's behavior. Which should further emphasize why the directors say Elsa isn't ready for a relationship.

Same here; both are important for different reasons. Lost in the Woods shows Kristoff coming to the realization that Anna is the right person for him even if she's unable to *always* make him her #1 priority.
Get This Right shows them being able to communicate well as a couple despite their miscommunications earlier in the movie. Now that the life-or-death stakes are resolved and both Kristoff and Anna have grown, they can focus on being happy together.

It has to do with the story line they chose mostly. In the movie they made this woukd have been right after the family game night ended. If they had this song here then we wouldn't get Lost in the woods. Both are amazing. I do wish they could have found a way to have both song in the movie without making Anna sound/act the typical "crazy and touchy" women they made her act like in the movie. Yes the characters have grown up and Anna has a lot going on but still. Lots of people have been bashing on the story line for this movie and I think once we take a step back we can really see how this movie could have been better. I still love it and all the songs though
the "hold me tight" part makes me tear up a lil bit, that's so beautiful, the way they're holding each other is so tender and matches their singing so well ; - ;

I realized that Anna's only love song was with Hans, and this track was SO GOOD and showed so much character, I'm so upset it wasn't in the final cut, but thank you SO MUCH for animating it in your style, i can tell you put so much effort into this animation and it came out so great!!!!! As an animation major i know how much time goes into these sort of things so I 100% applaud you for creating such an amazing video
Yeah plus it makes her less foolish looking. When she became queen I wonder because she always had this leap then look attitude that has almost killed her more than once. Sure she survived but only because of other people around her saving her skin

Yeah, I suspect that it was a deciding factor in this song being cut. There are certain parents who would see it as Upending Traditional Values, and I'm not sure whether they're a small enough minority for Disney to ignore just yet. :/

Oh wow, this truly presents the feeling in the lyrics and relationships between the two characters perfectly. Can't believe the movie cut this song out even though Kristen Bell and Jonathan Groff had practiced and recorded this already. Someone decide to cut the whole scene associated with this song and put a 10 second proposal in the movie instead.
That decision is a crime, in my opinion. Kristoff deserved more than that

after elsa gave up to continue playing and just stay the 2 together in the living room, the problem that after that we would not have "lost in the woods" and they preferred not to make this canon song and replaced it with the ana scene with elsa and he alone

This is actually so perfectly done. Like the emotions are expressed so clearly, the gestures are fluid even though this is an animatic, it perfectly balances the cartoony scene cuts with real-looking dancing/movement. You're crazy talented!

The official storyboard for this song came out with the release of the Frozen 2 DVD and honestly.........this one is better. Oops. They worked hard on theirs but this version not only looks and runs better but it really ties them to their location and looks more believable. Great job!!

This is such a better animatic than the official version. It’s more concentrated on one setting, like they’re actually talking about it realistically. Than in the official one where it jumps so many scenes, one could see why they cut it out- because it didn’t fit with the entire aesthetic of the movie. But this version would fit PERFECTLY in the movie. Great job!!

No he isn't nor will he be. The royalty runs through Elsa then Anna. At most he can be if Elsa or Anna chose to make him would be Prince Consort. Royal ranking places the King before Queen. Prince before Princess, etc.

Because they decided not to make him a lord and keeping would make it too much singing and too long. Though why movies have fit a certain time frame is beyond me. This would have been so much better than lost in the woods. It covers his nerves and his love and makes Anna look less scatterbrained when it comes anything besides her sister. Because she always had a tendency to leap then look and lucky for her had people who saved her in the end.
