The reason why people drank from the saucer (people don't do it so much these days) is because the shallow depth and the surface area cooled the liquid down much faster than if it was in the cup, meaning they could drink it sooner.

Lee, don’t buy a hybrid. And plug-in hybrids are a biggest conn of them all. The additional cost of hybrids just don’t justify the any potential fuel savings. Suggest you do you homework before buying, but that would be a first if you did.

There's only two counties in England the order of jam and cream matters. In Devon it's cream first, then jam. Cornwall is the other way round.
