I feel like as soon as indigos a350s arrive it would change everything and indigo would be focusing on international. It is such a great feeling when you see a INDIGO 777 but there are so many complaints from the passengers who has flown in it
Yes, they might start long haul international flights with them. The leased 777s have high density seating configuration. Over 500 people in one aircraft. I personally wouldn't fly it. No surprises that many people don't like it either.🙈

Because Runway 27/09 is the primary Runway. It is longer than 14/32 and has a parallel taxiway from the start till the end (Runway 14 doesnt) with multiple entry/exit ways. Nowadays Runway 14/32 is used only for a few hours every week when Runway 27 is under maintenance.
Study was undertaken and it was observed that using two runways will increase maintainance and and will lead to longer down time so only one runway is used.

Putting the beautiful captures aside, we (as commercial paying customers and avgeeks) really need to voice our concerns regarding the recent cancellation of the Air India commercial flight EWR - DEL (AI106). This flight was cancelled for the charter of the Indian Cricket team. But why? Why are they getting such special treatment? Why is AI doing this? I thought such things existed during old bureaucratic AI days but now TATAs are continuing that?

I think the new Air India livery is okay but I prefer the old one. It says more about India in terms of culture and language. The new livery just looks like a flying billboard to me. Colorful and attention grabbing but not much soul. What is the writing featured in the old livery. Is it Sanskrit? Anyway, that was another fantastic video. I always really look forward to your videos. You do amazing work.
The same reason I hated the previous livery.. oh my god don’t get me started with those Mahal design on the windows.. it looked so archaic and cliche about India.. even the off white colour of the old livery made it look as though it wasn’t cleaned in years.. the new livery is great, but why did they delete the “air india” in Hindi?

Might be an unpopular opinion but I do love the new AI livery and currently prefer it over the old one. The chakra was great but it had run its course, had become quite dated and definitely needed a revamp. The one thing I will miss for sure are the jharokas.

Things I wish should happen in Indian aviation 🔸The return of Jet Airways. India needs competition in the full service carrier field.Indigo's A350 order may or may not be having IFE in seats as majority budget carriers having wide bodies just pack as many passengers in it. As seen in Indigo's B777 operation. 🔸Air India ordering B777F, as major portion of Indian air cargo is operated by foreign carriers, they can also turn their older A320s and B737s to freighter models to operate within India and B777F for foreign trips. 🔸Last and most important removal of that black mark from the new livery in Airbus jets. It's a painting mistake from Airbus. It was confirmed when B777x had Air India's new livery and not having that black mark like Airbus jets. What are your thoughts.?
I'm okay with all the points. India definitely needs competition in full service space. Hope it will be lead to better service as well. I hoped AI would convert its 747-400s to freighters but that ship has sailed now. Wouldn't mind seeing their cargo division though!

It is a 737 BBJ. Google N301SR and you will find more info about her. She is based at Mumbai only but its really hard to spot her in action.

The next set of Airbus A350 will be delivered next year. This year's quota is fulfilled by supplying aeroflot configured planes.
Yes the upcoming A350s will feature Air India's own seating configuration and products. The delivery date isnt out yet.

What's that smoke on runway
The airport has hired some people to scare away the birds flying close to the active runway/taxiway. The smoke is from the fire-crackers used by them.
