Have you ever thought about just going with salt, pepper, and a little out of garlic? They come out great for me and I usually season it an hour before I put them in the smoker. Thoughts?
Why is it my smoker takes a long time to go to my desire temperature once I put the food in there? I have only used it once and I had the same problem the 1st time too
It happens to me to. I would try preheating it and putting in the meat as fast as possible so you don't drop the temp too much. Closing the damper can help in bringing the temp up faster. Put a temp prob in the middle of the smoker and do a dry run to see if the temp you set it at is being reached. If it does not reaching the temp, it could be: 1. The damper being left open too much. 2. The heating element is faulty Ways to fix it: 1. Return the item 2. Adjust your temp meaning if it constantly is reaching 200 instead of 225, set your smoker at 250 and see if that fixes the problem.
Other than it's a smoker that doesn't smoke, it does well. I've had to use a cold smoker attachment and a-maze-n pellet smoker on it because it won't produce smoke on its own.
Got a smoker s few months ago, I’ve been a master on the grill and flat top now taking another step to the promise land. I’ve followed some of your tips and they have been fantastic. Keep it up homie!
When you said whataburger i just forgot about your ribs there for a second
😆
Even better... editing it right now and will post it asap

Yes. That's a Texas staple style, but I really like the kick Rudy's Rub gives the meat.
What air temperature on that last hour?
Keep it the same
