Frankel filly RED LETTER looks exciting for Ger Lyons and Juddmonte | Racing TV

- Red Letter certainly delivers to get off the mark at the second time of asking in her career, with the two-year-old Frankel filly lookin a potentially top-notch prospect in success at the Curragh for jockey Colin Keane, trainer Ger Lyons and owner/breeders Juddmonte.
Lyons was keen not to go overboard post-race and suggested that his filly would be lightly-raced at best for the remainder of the campaign, though the trainer did mention that the Group One Moyglare Stud Stakes back at the Curragh in September - during the two-day Irish Champions Festival - could be a potential port of call.
“She stepped forward nicely and you’d expect her to win her maiden that way, so we’re delighted," said Lyons.
“We’ll see how she comes out of it before making any plans. I think it’s just raw ability at the moment, I don’t think she’s a two-year-old and I think it’s all about next year with her.
“We’ll let her tell me what we do with her. I’ll tell Barry [Mahon, Juddmonte racing manager) what I’m seeing at home and discuss it with the [Abdullah] family about whether we come back for the Moyglare or something like that.
“She’s done a lot quick, we are only in the middle of July. She looked raw going down to the start and it’s pure ability what you are seeing out there.”

You can DEFINITELY TELL Champion Filly Red Letter Is Legendary Stallion Frankel's Daughter!! Congratulations!!
We should know more about the quality of this filly after Thursday but that is certainly how to break your maiden in style. Love a horse that can travel like that on the bridle from the front and then quicken immediately off it.

@@frankelforever14 I’m no Google slave I use my mind. So il take a guess at he’s sired over 1000+ foals. And only maybe 8 have been top class. Galileo, Sea The Stars and Kingman have sired greats.
@@MrSmid888 so you actually used your mind before typing your original comment, doesn't put you in the best light I'm afraid. I don't need Google to remember how good Cracksman or Alphinsta were, never mind the potential of the recent Chesham winner. You have quickly switched from saying he wins no group races to talking about him not breeding many top class horses. I would say Frankel has had just as good horses at this point as Sea the Stars, still has a long way to go to match his father but considering he is in the top 5 sires of all time it's going to be tough to surpass him.
