- Excited to unbox my new Rock Fig! It’s native to Mexico, but can be found Baja and Sonora, CA. Rock Figs have super easy care requirements - part sun to part shade, well draining soil with moderate moderate when completely dry. It has a caudex 😍
My goal is bonsai this one with a nice rock!

I recently received one of these and all leaves fell (except one) during shipping. Luckily it started to put out some more leaves (now it has 5 in total), but since it dropped all the leaves at the bottom it looks kinda naked. I'm wondering if I could do a top cutting if it would survive. Have experience propagating it?
Mine has done the same, more than once🤗 it seems to like being outside (under a shade cloth) best. I’ve never propagated mine, but I think cutting it back wouldn’t be harmful.
@@CactiOnWhite I’m wondering if I could just do a top cutting this way I get a full plant. Most ficus would tolerate that but I haven’t seen many people with this one
How Can Buy the Seedling Ficus Ptiolaris
Hi, I bought mine online. I would recommend you start there🙂
Can I eat the figs?
Not sure about that. I won’t lol. Thanks for watching!
