I have the 2024 SP that I've just finished running in. I traded my 2019 R6 for it and thought I'd regret it but man, I love it more than I ever could have loved my R6 it's SO much more fun, constantly puts a smile on my face and it's way more comfortable than a sport bike. I've ridden it for hours without any pain whatsoever.
I owned the same bike, awesome fun on the track, too tempting to ride hard and fast around town, too windy on the freeway, a licence killer - LOVED it, but Sold it before I lost my licence or ended myself....
This beast will always make you want to go fast. It becomes second nature to rip it up. Save your licence. I do miss the 450NK, but progress cannot be stopped. Enjoy the CP3! It definitely its a weapon. The intake & exhaust sound do remind me of when i had an MV Agusta 800 Brutale.
Great 👍 vid ! Have a 22 SP with now 14000 miles . Love it as much as Day 1. Perfect 🤩 indeed! Combination of performance, comfort, knarly behavior. Reliable as they come . 😎
Well that's exactly the size of my fiance lol. Perfectly fine if you stay out of the power band. With a passenger the front wheel can come up in 3rd if you're giving it the the beans lol
This is exactly how i think my 99 buell x1 lightning is. Comfy and the flatest torque curve you'll see plus 100lbft torque? About 450lbs? Comfy upright seated position? Love it. And it was dirt cheap..
@@TheCoolestCourier yeah but mine got a 1280cc big bore kit and it's tuned. All the results I've seen on dynamic jets are right at 100lbft at the wheels with the bug bore kit. But I didn't add that info. Either way to me it's a very comparable bike by all the key measurements.
It's a completely smooth bike in my opinion. Very minimal vibration. Also, cruise control helps on the freeway with that. I know two people personally who have bought the GSXs1000 and later traded it in for the new gen mt-09. That's Suzuki is not as aggressive as you might think for a K5 bike.
Almost everything I said in this video could be applied to the mt10. I was mistaken when I said the Ducati hyper motard was the only bike with that position. The mt10 also is super upright. I haven't had enough seat time on an mt10 to see if I prefer it or not, but there are three benefits to an mt-09 versus mt10. It's geared shorter so you feel like you're using a little more of the bikes rev range without outrageously speeding. It is faster off the line than the mt10 every time. I have two friends with them and I get them every time because they are a handful to launch while the CP3 bikes are very easy. Also believe it or not the wheelbase on the and the mt-09 is longer than the mt10 by over an inch. And then the third and most obvious benefit is it's a whole lot cheaper. Purchase price, insurance, MPG.
@@TheCoolestCourier can you go into further detail about why you prefer pre-2021 models? After that, you get a higher displacement engine. Is it worse in some way? Thanks!
Well, that's why I didn't name the video. Best, commuter lol. My primary goal is having fun with motorcycling. I don't use motorcycles as primary vehicles, I don't go long distances, and I don't commute. Commute. I go straight to twisty mountain roads. It’s called torque . No one ever mentions torque rating just Hp
Motorcycle related contents usually have the torque mentioned. But car related contents rarely mention the torque though.
I'm glad Yamaha has the XSR line which are basically the same bikes as the MT line except not ugly

Did you experienced any vibrations at high speeds?
No it's very smooth in my opinion
Veey rare would you feel any severe vibration on a triple cylinder unlike 2 cyclinders.

Hi mate. Just wanted to know how good is it for a small pilion (5’4” and 120lbs). Thank you.

That's awesome!
The Buell is 104 nm from the sportster engine but still a good number for a naked from 99!

@irocss85 nice! Sounds like a blast
I've been bouncing between this and the gsxs1000. How's the vibration in the handlebars?

Please leave this for the track. Prayin for you. We just don’t want you to become a headstone bro
Haha agreed! There's a cart track near me that ai absolutely love. I've been trying to tone down the road rides and mainly practice there.
@ 👍 appreciate you bro. Hope you have a great weekend!
So glad someone else laughs like a loon on the mt 09 love my sp sooo much fun
Haha yeah an unintentional big wheelie always gets me good.
i could see myself getting into trouble riding this bike
Yeah that why mountains are nice. Not many cops
🔥🔥🔥
Is it weird to have two bikes with the same engine and mostly identical? I'd prob want my 2nd bike to be something completely different.
It depends. Which two bikes are we talking?
@@TheCoolestCourier Mt09 and xsr900
Yes
It's so great the chassis cracks and breaks in low speed crashes. CP3 is an amazing reliable motor. 2023 and 2024 chassis is weak.
Why not the MT-10 SP? 🤔

You must have misheard me. I would only consider 2021 and newer because of the reasons you just named and everything I said in the video
@@TheCoolestCourier My bad. I may also be confusing you with another youtuber. Thanks for the response! 👍
You can't call a naked the best street bike. No wind protection = default not the best.
