There is something spectacular about you guys. It is the way all of you face all the "heck" life throws at you. With patient, forgiving and true hearts, you do what is right. It is so welcome in this so divisive time.
Don’t ever take chemical exposure for granted. My cousin was spot spraying with a small tank sprayer. He looked in the tank and dropped his sun glasses, without thinking he reached in arms length and retrieved them. A few weeks later he started to get very weak and short of breath. As it turned out humans have a double layered membrane called the pericardium around the heart like a sack. The chemical attacked that membrane and hardened it so his heart could no longer function at full capacity. The doctors told him he would have died but they performed open heart surgery to remove the membrane and substitute it with a synthetic one. It took him a couple years to fully recover.
Whoa !! Howdy, Glad he's ok now, that's exactly why I take no chances are chemicals on the Farm, I just wish the rest of my Family would do the same.. Peace
Chet, the drone video gave a perfect image of the planting process. Also enjoy seeing how you all Gerry-rig equipment to help make things a little less difficult. Some times it works and sometimes you just have to do it the old fashion way. Lol Awesome video as always God Bless you and the entire Larson family/friends
Well despite all complexities thrown at you guys, you persevered and got all of the different problems taken care of and got it all done. Way to go guys. Git-r-dun. 👍👍👍❤️
Yessir Eric, BBQ sauce on ANYTHING is better. I remember having days like that when I was farming. I watching y'all so much, it takes me back a few years. Praying for y'all.
have you tried a BBQ CHICKEN PIZZA YET??? use BBQ SAUCE instead of RED SAUCE on the pizza dough... and use WHITE CHEESES... YUMMMMY!!!!!! there is a pizza place down the street that does them, also they have a WHITE ALFRADO-like SAUCE they can substitute for the RED SAUCE on pizzas..... and yes, PINEAPPLE DOES GO In PIZZA and in cottage cheese!
Forgot to add a comment. Appreciate the way you all overcame diversity with the storms and rain and wet fields. You all just kept at it and got it done. Refreshing to see that. Outstanding farm operation. Thanks. The Iowa farm boy.
I love those beans. I'll be looking forward to possibly enjoying some from your harvest. Erik, barbecue chicken pizza is awesome! Stay safe and God bless.
Chet, get the early riser planter from Case IH next year and it will be just fine! No more wheels between the row units to plug up in the mud. Oh yeah, vote for Dougo!
We use to incorporate our pre-emerge all in one pass. We had tanks on our tractor with a PTO pump and had the spray nozzles attached on our disc harrow so that the pre-emerge was applied in front of the blades.
I heard you say Sonolan a couple of videos ago and thought I was hearing things. Yup. Treflan, sonolan, triflurilan, is bright yellow. Worked with it a lot back in the 90's. Stains gloves clothes, everything yellow. Breaks down in the sun, we had a lot of farmers put spray booms on the diggers and incorporate it as they sprayed it. Anyway, made me smile when I heard it. You all be safe.
When I worked at Jes Farms in South Dakota we did eatable beans we took to Scott’s Bluff Nebraska they found two soy bean blue ones in my load and rejected the whole load that Oaks North Dakota place we took them to where even worse good luck with them beans guys
In the old days (circa 1890) farmers would "top" the corn after the ears were matured and use it as silage. They figured it didn't affect their corn yield. Makes sense...innovative. I'm gonna invent a 24 row corn topper machine and make a million bucks.
You guys do an amazing job, not like every year has its challenges, this year has been unreal as far as challenges go. Keep on pushing on guy your amazing farmers. My son loves farming old take his days off just to lend a hand. Being a mechanic was a bonus to the farmers he helps. He loves you channel and wished he could be there for you. He works for K-line construction and has been your way to help restore power. 👍👍❤️❤️farmers rock
Well that is to bad that you couldn’t get all of the corn planted. I have never heard of those beans before. Good luck planting the rest of the beans planted. Stay positive and safe.
Chet, how come you all didn't use the new Unverferth spreader for the fertilizer this year , is it because y'all were down a tractor from the storm damage? I am praying for all of you all , so sorry for all the storm damage, multiple times, terrible field conditions. You all have a good hearts even with all the adversity this year , there is something special about all of you God is good all the time ! may he continue to bless y'alls farm and keep you safe , amen
Thanks for the black bean content. Look forward to seeing how it grows and your thoughts on diversification of the operation. just got done watching Tony Fast plant corn with 100 foot air seeder.
Greatly appreciate the Eric tease that we got haha! He may not have said much, but he still has me laughing. It was like the good old days when all three of you were together in the vids! The meat trio haha
Thanks for another great video. Most interesting and enjoyable. The drone footage was absolutely wonderful. Gives you the big picture on what is going on. Thanks for the drone footage. Never heard of the black beans before. Must be something new you are trying. Will have to tell us more about them. That chemical you were mixing looks kind of dangerous. Be careful around that stuff. Good to see Eric again. My compliments to Chet and Eric and Brody. You three work so well together and get the job done. Nice to see that on a farm. Good going guys. About it I guess. Busy time for you getting the last of planting done. You thought the corn planting was over with. Let us know how that came out. You all take care and be safe. Looking forward to the Next Video. Thanks for everything. The Iowa farm boy.
Treflan ,sonolan nice yellow stuff. Strains terribly it’s not really dangerous for humans but we always wore rubber gloves just so you didn’t have to be yellow for a couple of weeks. Treflan is sold in the Lowes,Home depots as preen. I always liked Treflan ,eptam, for beans it did a great job on them. Especially if you got it incorporated correctly. We had a spray bar on a rototiller for incorporation. Slow but effective! Enjoy your content. Hope the black beans do well for you.
Love the perspective of the drone shots. Really shows scale we coastal folks don't see. Brody is awesome Barbecue Sauce goes on Barbecue Pizza Sauce goes on Pizza Tabasco Sauce goes on Everything
Chet , love the drone footage, I know you guys take a lot of time to do your videos and yet get all the field work done crops in the ground and repairs and yeah it does stink it's been a super wet year to be able to plant , I hope for the best .
You know what I love about you guys. You make things interesting and you make me laugh. I am just sorry about all the carnage the tornadoes and rain caused. Sure, Insurance will cover it, but your turnover at the end of the year may not be as good, so I hope you planted a few magic seeds there too.
Hey Chet, you could get rid of that 50' hydro and replace it with two roll up doors like the side door, with a swing-up or sliding center post. Less to repair if it gets damaged, and you don't always have to open the full 50' opening in the winter. Plus it would be faster if you don't need the whole opening, and you wouldn't have the issues trying to open the door in the cold, that you have with the hydraulic doors. You could have the same kind of remotes for that setup that you have for the other doors. And there are solutions to have one remote for all your doors at the farm, instead of 5 or 6 multi-button remotes.
Chet, we took a piece of 4" plastic tile about 6-8ft long and cut a notch in the end to fit around the "seed traps" it works great emptying seed into a tender or loader bucket.

Love black beans, dark red kidney beans, pintos, and Vidalia onions in my chili fixins and just discovered a "Cajun sauced" black bean from a grower/canner somewhere up near where Larsons farm....really good "kick" added to my usual hobo chili recipe!
Bbq sauce chicken pizza is very good. Blaze Pizza (order like a subway and baked 700f oven) does it as more of a dry crust with the bbq sauce swirled on top before baked.

They are planting a lot of 20 inch rows of corn for silage for all the huge dairy’s here in weld county Colorado
