I had totally forgotten that Beau’s college fling was called Melba! I think that is fabulous! And yes limit the population...I have so many sims in my Pleasantview at the moment (20+ households)...I totally regret letting them have so many babies! Also - ooh I can’t wait to find out who the young gay sims are...!
i love babies too, sometimes i want my sims to have few children, but i never want to give a limit number as this would seem a little too controlling and i don't want to have standardized families. TS2 demands too much of me 😂
I have 3 large families in my current 'hood and I'm like..... this was a mistake. Luckily one family have really jank genetics and won't be allowed to breed and one of the others keeps producing romance sims who won't want kids
I so miss the kids playing and interacting with each other. Playing cops and robbers, throwing baseballs. Sims 4 is soo lacking. The kids cant do anything with each other!
Dear, Debra is not half adoptive sister of Mary Sue, Herb and Coral adopted both girls. Half adoptive means if they only had one adoptive parent in common.
I am not Cindy but maybe I can give you a good tip. If you get bored do something else. Don't force yourself until it gets a drag more then a fun thing. Also maybe don't play the same hood every day. Take breakes :)

I know the feeling! I'm regretting that I didn't limit children more in the first few rounds. But at least I have townies and the Bluewater Village/Uni Sims to marry in!

In my Pleasantview (yes, it was in the sims 4, but i made it as accurate as possible and i've been having fun), Brandi had a baby boy named Bobby (thanks for the name suggestion!) and ended up with a townie named Romeo Hart. Romeo was a gardener who helped Dustin get out in the garden and find some peace of mind, and he started trying to turn his life around to win back the affections of his ex, Angela Pleasant. He managed to get a B in school, and will age up next rotation! Brandi and Romeo had a daughter (yay!) named Beth after Betty Newbie, and while Dustin isn't with Angela yet, he did manage to steal a dance from her at his mom's wedding. :D
Hi Cindy, dont you think that having every zodiac sign atached to an aspiration very limiting? I mean people are complex someone can want romance in life but at the same time be a shy person. that adds a entresting layer of gameplay
Their personalities still differ even with the same zodiac and aspiration. You should check out more of the videos of her playing. Secondaries are a thing too but they can get annoying.

oh man I forgot how nice the animations in this game are!! like how kids climb into chairs and small stuff like that. it has its fair share of issues but I feel like there’s a lot of love visible in the animations and cut scenes and quirky jokes
I never knew toddlers could asleep in a dog's bed until now, lol. TS2 is so full of details that you can often miss(unless it's a mod) Debra looks like a beautiful alien omg
I personally play as follows: family + family/fortune sim = max 3 kids family + any other sim = max 2 fortune + any sim besides fortune = max 2 (fortune + fortune = max 1) pleasure + pleasure/romance = no children! all other pairings = max 1
Also Cindy, instead of assigning aspirations according to zodiac sign, I assign aspirations according to personality points as I feel it makes more sense (for example, shy, neat, playful and nice sims get the family aspiration whilst neat, active and grouchy sims get fortune aspiration, this way I have a good mix of aspirations in my neighbourhood)

I feel like becoming a werewolf in tS2 is just so hard, or at least it seems like it. There's not much you can actually do because the Leader of the Pack is a wolf and you can't invite wolves over or call them on the phone like you can Witches and Vampires. :/ For every other supernatural lifestate I use the game version, but for werewolves I always have one of sims a werewolf automatically and then my sims who roll the want just have become BFFs (don't want it too easy either) with him. So kudos to you for going about it the legit way :D I'm impressed.
I didn't change it to make it look more like Sims 3. I wish I could make Sims 3 look more like Sims 2. 😆 I changed it because the game is old and I like more modern, updated graphics. :)

I like your updated rules for population control; it will definitely help for your neighbourhood! Risky Woohoo at 20% or more results in far too many accidental pregnancies. I actually had to restart my beloved Pleasantview recently because of this and death in childbirth - the percentages were set waaay too high by default when I started and I eventually had one round where literally every pregnant Sim died in childbirth (FOUR SIMS IN A ROW), only two of them were saved by their spouses (and I felt really cheaty doing that anyway) and half of those pregnancies had been accidental in the first place. 😭 It broke my heart because I realised it wasn’t going to work for much longer and I was going to end up in a situation much like yours, so I restarted from scratch, took out the death in childbirth mod and set my own percentages for each type of risky woohoo (higher in the car, lower in the hot tub and so on). It’s going a bit better this time round - Nina doesn’t have any kids yet (she had three accidents before) and now I’m trying to only lock in a Try for Baby want if it survives a reroll and I know they really want it. (But I still want them to have babies so I’m not limiting numbers like you are!) I still have my original Pleasantview backed up in a folder on my desktop though. I just can’t bear to fully get rid of it. 😔

How I handle kids is both parents have to roll one of the following wants: Have baby, adopt, new family member, obtain pet (because technically children are kinda like pets when they're babies.)
I’ve been having so much fun watching your letsplays and streams, I’ve started my own custom hood with your game style (with a few alterations) and it’s so fun to play, I’ve recently played a family who had 2 toddler girls (one aging up in one day) and they have just had twin boys! (Totally didn’t expect it!, they were no twins in the family before as I have only played them for one round before and had created the family in CAS)
Omg I wait for these every week now lol!! HAHAH I lost it when he aged up and his entire ass was out xD lmaooo we're gonna have so much drama with all these romance sims running about but I'm here for it!
Hm, as for the signs, maybe this will be a lil bit helpful - i'm a taurus and i'm definitely not a romance sim, so i've added fortune to my zodiac list as a alternative for those if i dont feel like romance/pleasure, not all sims "look like" this to me, if you know what i mean :D and my fiance is a libra and he said he probably would be a fortune himself, so i've added this also, gives me a lil bit of freedom - for most of the signs i have alternates based from zodiacs, i don't assign aspirations randomly but sometimes you know, you just dont want to stick with strict list. Omg sorry if i was a bit confusing, fun video, hope Beau will become a werewolf! When Hal Capp wanted this in my game i've used a mod to help a lil, leader of the pack came every night, and after befriending him i just took the mod out :D

Okay I have another question; this limiting children, does that include whether their original spouse dies, or they divorce their original spouse? Are they only limited to having the children they had with their first spouse, or are they able to have additional children with additional spouse? Like Brandi Broke had three kids with Skip, but later went on to have children with Darren or Mortimer? Cassandra had kids with Don some of the plays, then went on to have kids with other spouses? Daniel had children with Mary Sue, and then Kaylyn in one Let's Play? Just enjoy the variety of children with a different spouse, and I wonder how that would look in your new rules? Would family income impact the amount of children they could have? If they can afford to have a nanny full-time with that increase the number of children they can have? Also if they had the number of children they could have, but then the kids left and went off to college and then both spouses wanted another child, would it be allowed for them to have another child since basically they would only have one child again? See what trauma you're causing me Cindy! LOL I really do enjoy your hard work in these Let's Plays, I'm so glad you brought them back. I just don't have the ability to play myself, so then I'm mulling over everything that you do.😊
When I was like 13 I went to a community lot with my sim and her husband, only controlled my sim for a few hours and when I came back the husband had been bitten and turned into werewolf. I've literally NEVER been able to befriend the leader of the pack since then, I can't beleive i did it without even controlling the sim hahahah

In my game I used the generator Cindy uses for secondary aspirations to also assign my sims their primary aspiration once they age up to teens.
Their personalities still differ even with the same zodiac and aspiration. You should check out more of the videos of her playing. Secondaries are a thing too but they can get annoying.

How I handle kids is both parents have to roll one of the following wants: Have baby, adopt, new family member, obtain pet (because technically children are kinda like pets when they're babies.)

I’ve been having so much fun watching your letsplays and streams, I’ve started my own custom hood with your game style (with a few alterations) and it’s so fun to play, I’ve recently played a family who had 2 toddler girls (one aging up in one day) and they have just had twin boys! (Totally didn’t expect it!, they were no twins in the family before as I have only played them for one round before and had created the family in CAS)
Omg I wait for these every week now lol!! HAHAH I lost it when he aged up and his entire ass was out xD lmaooo we're gonna have so much drama with all these romance sims running about but I'm here for it!

Hm, as for the signs, maybe this will be a lil bit helpful - i'm a taurus and i'm definitely not a romance sim, so i've added fortune to my zodiac list as a alternative for those if i dont feel like romance/pleasure, not all sims "look like" this to me, if you know what i mean :D and my fiance is a libra and he said he probably would be a fortune himself, so i've added this also, gives me a lil bit of freedom - for most of the signs i have alternates based from zodiacs, i don't assign aspirations randomly but sometimes you know, you just dont want to stick with strict list. Omg sorry if i was a bit confusing, fun video, hope Beau will become a werewolf! When Hal Capp wanted this in my game i've used a mod to help a lil, leader of the pack came every night, and after befriending him i just took the mod out :D

Okay I have another question; this limiting children, does that include whether their original spouse dies, or they divorce their original spouse? Are they only limited to having the children they had with their first spouse, or are they able to have additional children with additional spouse? Like Brandi Broke had three kids with Skip, but later went on to have children with Darren or Mortimer? Cassandra had kids with Don some of the plays, then went on to have kids with other spouses? Daniel had children with Mary Sue, and then Kaylyn in one Let's Play? Just enjoy the variety of children with a different spouse, and I wonder how that would look in your new rules? Would family income impact the amount of children they could have? If they can afford to have a nanny full-time with that increase the number of children they can have? Also if they had the number of children they could have, but then the kids left and went off to college and then both spouses wanted another child, would it be allowed for them to have another child since basically they would only have one child again? See what trauma you're causing me Cindy! LOL I really do enjoy your hard work in these Let's Plays, I'm so glad you brought them back. I just don't have the ability to play myself, so then I'm mulling over everything that you do.😊
When I was like 13 I went to a community lot with my sim and her husband, only controlled my sim for a few hours and when I came back the husband had been bitten and turned into werewolf. I've literally NEVER been able to befriend the leader of the pack since then, I can't beleive i did it without even controlling the sim hahahah
