On March 23, 2023, IU Cinema screened Totally F***ed Up (dir. Gregg Araki, 1993) in celebration of its 30th anniversary. The first installment of Araki's Teenage Apocalypse film trilogy, Totally F***ed Up follows six queer teenagers struggling to get along with each other and with life in the face of varying obstacles. With an episodic plot, a collage of styles, and startling intimacy, the film is considered a seminal entry in the New Queer Cinema genre.
