Almost at my 90 days no future for mail carriers. Looking for a new job. Dogshit pay dogshit schedule dogshit management. Totally their fault they can't retain good employees. Really wanted this to be a career. Only ones that can actually retire will be table 1 people. Good for them
The key is to pick a good office with mostly driving routes. It sucks at first, but eventually you get a nice hold down and steady hours. Hopefully, the new contract will fix the pay.
@willaerley7140 I'm with you brother if I was a CCA right now in this economy I'd quit too. I been here too long to quit now... 7 years regular and 2 1/2 CCA close to 10 years total
@@willaerley7140 I don't mind the walking I love being active and enjoy the physical aspects of the job most days. And enjoy the work for the most part just not everything else I mentioned before.
I just turned regular last year as a mail handler I don’t plan on leaving any time soon I don’t mind the job it’s just the people at my plant and I’m probably just gonna stay my 30-35 years I’m only 23
I think the PO is happy half the CCAs quit. A topped out regular makes 3 times as much including benefits. Could be worse. Amazon is just a revolving door of newbies. At least a CCA can someday get a good salary and pension.
@@mailman5467 so if Renfroe brings, in his own words, a historic contract to carriers, you still won’t vote for him? Doesn’t negotiating a good contract exhibit good leadership? Am I to understand you would vote otherwise for a future NALC president who would negotiate a contract with less money, less benefits, less retirement income and worse working conditions? Is bringing about your own demise worth it to try to prove a misguided point? What exacting do you think you will be accomplishing? And less his indiscretions there are an entire NALC council backing him up. Just curious but how would you justify this?
Too much micromanaging. The FBI don't even go through what we go through. 😮
Facts.

Yes very good point.
Stick with it.

Good luck in your career friend.
300,000 new employees? Good luck with that one!! If they knew how to treat people. We would not have this issue.
Thanks
CCA retention rate is 50%. On average the carrier craft is absent 20%-25% of the time. The mail just keeps on coming.
It’s hopeless. 😩

Sure right
Honestly in my opinion if the post office wants to save $ I'd go to a 5 day schedule.... weekends off. BTW I am a regular been for about 7 years now
They tried that when Obama was president. It didn’t fly. We would lose 40,000 jobs.
@@mailman5467 ur 100 percent right, 5 days.
Hopefully brighter days ahead, all will start with a good contract. Fingers crossed 🤞
@MailmanSyed if the contract is good I'm still not voting for renfoe. Poor leadership skills and poor communication skills.
