She’s soooooo beautiful. Your daughter and my little girl has the same Autism… they both are gonna be fine. We just have to work with them a little more. God has us and we are strong parents. We will be fine!!! I’m happy to see her daddy supporting you. Mine does too. That’s important. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽💯
Mikko is a beautiful child filled with light. Her testimony and journey is moving towards love without conditions. A light bearer never questions the light she carries. And so she can offer it to others patiently and without fear. She has the gift of love to share and in her own gentle way, she will reach many others simply by shining her radiant light.💛 Enjoy, Today!😊
Im not an adult, im only 13 in fact but i DO have an autistic w/sensory issues 4 yr old nephew! I try to be as observant as possible and im usually always trying my best to understand what he feels by looking into autism! I try to correct my family with my info as well, since i know that its difficult for my nephew But hes improved a lot since he was young! He can use words and sentences to tell us what he needs now! It may not be the EXACT word sometimes but hes still doing amazing! Im happy ro have him in my life! :)))
Thanks for sharing your lives with us! It's extremely educational and I continue to learn more from you. Gentle parenting is so important for all children.
Thank you for sharing this! My 3 year old daughter is similar in all these ways (and we also have that same bib!). We haven't gotten a diagnosis, yet, but she's been getting extra therapies since she was 2 because I wanted to get her started early since I noticed some of those same signs.
She is so beautiful. I have a grandson with Autisum his Mom worked with and got as much as info she could and he lives on his own has a job and can drive its amazing. God bless you Mom and your precious baby girl to. Press in to him he does miracle .
my sister has autism and STILL has trouble communicating an expreseing herself and taking care of herself. she is 19. its so difficult an can be exhausting.
She’s absolutely gorgeous and the way you parent her is inspiring, I have “typical” children and I never spanked them and I don’t believe in corporal punishment but I have lost my temper and raised my voice. You’re so patient, you’re really helping a lot of parents.
Also like you add those spoons there recycled and they are amazing they really help hold the food in for the child to get food to there mouth we tried the soft rubber like spoons all kinds and until I found some like the purple one miko was using I had the hardest time highly highly recommended those spoons to parents with kids who have a lil trouble getting food to there mouths
I'm in occupational therapy school we are doing research with babies based off of head lag when they are trying to sit. Dr. Flanagan is working on a scale called the IMES which will be able to detect autism sooner to provide more resources. Thank you so much for sharing your journey ❤ you are an incredible mother ❤
God bless you both, Thank you mom for noticing and taking time with you baby. Identifying, assessing and giving her all that she needs , helping her transition. This is only the beginning it gets soooo much better.
I have autism and I didn’t know until recently my mom did know that I struggled a lot growing up with many things and had always tried to help me but I am so afraid that if I want children then would they be autistic as well. I just know that if I do then I can only wish and hope to me as kind as patient with them as you!!
Mikko might not understand words or sounds some times but the love taht her mom has she will always understand at all times, Mikko is just a baby right now so she might not know much or do much but trust me your lil Mikko is a special lil girl and will learn many things that many babys that have autism dont do, I saw the video of her not wanting to talk to kids at the park or just around her and that can be fixs by u just slowly letting her meet more of her family that are kids so she can understand more about them and want to play and do more with then, and i love u and Mikko we all do and hope her the best life any baby can have🙏💞💟
My son is 4 and diagnosed with Autism. We noticed something was different around 3-6 months old. His motor skills were on track, but there were other things that we noticed that were different…
I know you just recently got diagnosed yourself with autism;Any advice on how to get diagnosed as an adult? I’ve been having this doubts if I am or not on the spectrum but I can’t find nobody to be able to properly do it because they only do small children I’ve called a bunch of places and nobody seems to know how to help me anywhere I am 28 years old with two kids that are 13-11 and my daughter was diagnosed when she was 2 and my son just turned 13 yrs old and just got his diagnosis for it I’m wondering if it’s genetic my husband always seems to throw that in my face that it comes from my side of the family 😢 and I just want to find out for myself I do have mostly all of the symptoms I just would like to confirm it for once I feel it’ll help me see my future better and clearer because everything feels and seems so cloudy ☁️ all the time I just want and need some clarity…I’m so lonely on this it’s not even funny I feel like I’m never understood by anyone I’ve felt like this my whole like sometimes I just ask myself why I was given this opportunity in this earth it’s just a waste of breath and space when someone else could be doing anything else better than I am on this world 🌎 I just truly feel exhausted very drained from feeling this way it’s never ending for me maybe I’m just standing in the wrong place with the wrong person as my partner to share my life with but maybe it’s just me I’m the only problem here 😞😔😖😩 I think I was meant to be alone and die just like that by myself that’s my punishment ☹️🥺😣
First, you are not being punished. Second, that's terrible that your guy is telling you that it's your fault the kids have autism. Sounds like he has problems with it and wants to blame someone. I strongly encourage you to get into counseling. They can assist you with getting diagnosed and can be there for you with your emotional problems. And if you husband makes you feel anything less than an awesome person for getting emotional support, then he is not the right guy for you. Spouses are supposed to be supportive and build you up. Not drag you down.
Be gentle with yourself, each one of us has a unique journey. Believe that you have the strength and resourcefulness required to tackle whatever challenges come your way. And know that you always have the capacity to make the best of anything. Even if you didn’t want it or ask for it, even if seems scary or hard or unfair, you can make something good of any challenges or hardship. You can learn from it, grow from it, help others through it, and maybe even thrive because of it. The future is unknown, but you can know this for sure: Whatever’s coming, you got this! 🙏🏽🌹🙂
You're not alone, you have your children and you must be there for them and your family. Your husband is not supportive so tune him out and take care of yourself and children. Seek counseling to get your answers and first prayers 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️
People need to also understand that it a spectrum. All kids with autism do not have the same struggles some can lead a normal lives and one might need help all their life. Do not lump all in the same category.
Did Mikko smile at you but not at strangers. Someone pointed that out about my son at 3m and looking back I do wonder whether that was an indicator of him being autistic
Side note: Precious and Chris made a stunningly beautiful girl. She is just so adorable and such a pretty girl. I can’t help but notice all her gorgeous features.
I watched some of our home videos with my family, and now that we had the knowledge, it was really easy to spot signs of my autism even as a newborn. I think it's very interesting!
Autism spectrum kids have above average IQ. You should not worry. She will be fine. Motor skills are problem with lot of children. Sooner or later they learn.
