Basketball was already popular, but everyone was a fan of the Bulls or Lakers and you would get teased for following the expansion Raptors. It’s a tough league. If you’re not stacked with All Stars, you don’t get any respect or attention. I’m a hockey fan first and foremost, but it’s great to see the Raptors finally rise above the competition. The Leafs have a fire under their ass now. They need to get something done now. They need a serious run to the Cup.

What I mean by that is if you were comparing scoring fairly, all baskets should only be worth one point. Basketball invented the 3 point line to inflate scoring, as well as making a regular field goal worth two points. MLS soccer is not that exciting because the quality of talent in the league overall is not great.
