@JorlayRaven she's a grown woman, it's her choice. Yes helmets are good and I personally wouldn't get on a new horse without one HOWEVER, there's many cases of riders DYING even WITH helmets on. Helmets don't suddenly make you invincible.
@ my reply was adressed at the "This western baby" comment, yes she's a grown woman, it's her choice but the argument that western riders don't wear helmets because it's western is just silly. yes people die with helmets on, but if you look at the statistics it's way less than people without. For me it was the difference between severe brain damage or death or "just" a spinal injury and nerve damage/arthritis in my spine. everybody can do whatever they like with their head

Posting looks like she's working way too hard for such a big horse. It ain't hard work if you are doing it right and your horse is awake. . Gotta have contact! That horse is saying, "where the heck ARE ya?" and doing his best not to do the wrong thing with zero leadership. You guys must fall off a lot if you are scared of tall horses. Haha.
