I won't install Sidus link on my phone because in the Privacy Agreement it states that the app WILL ACCESS MY WEB BROWSING HISTORY. I stopped reading there. That is a DEAL BREAKER. Why does the app have to access my browsing history just to make the light brighter??
🔥🔥
What i didn't get: can you integrate the Aputure lights into an existing Ethernet Network?
Not yet. That will require all of them to have ethernet inputs that receive Art-Net or sACN. Not all Aputure fixtures have that yet.
@@shadowshapers I think it would also be great if the Sidus One would have a Ethernet input to control the aputure lights out of an existing network. We have a rig running in our studio with a wired Art-Net to DMX converter. if it would be possible to integrate Aputure lights into our setup without having to use a seperate application like Sidus Link, this would be a gamechanger for us!
So am I able to control all my Aperture lights along with my LumeCube (even though its not DMX) lights together in the same app?
So Sidus One would allow to control Godox, Amaran and Aputure lights in one app right? Controlling other brands is only briefly mentioned but it is a big selling point for me!
Every light that has crmx build in, thats Most modern pro lights, but many Budget lights and older pro lights dont have it.
You can get antennas for older Lights with physical 5 pin DMX but they are expensive. I hope aputure builds a cheap crmx antenna, sub 100€ would be incredible
@@xx1simon1xx Ah I see, I thought the Sidus One's physical DMX output would actually allow to use any light wired to it, I'd be fine having a few wired if it means it's all controlled in the same place.
@@florianbel6791 If you are talking wired, then yes, you can Control any light that has physical DMX out of the box
@@florianbel6791It can do this as you're describing it.
Correct. As long as you can make or find a DMX profile for that light then you can control it. At the moment there are only 20 manufacturers in the Sidus Link Pro library. So there are still a lot that are not in there yet.
Is it possible to use Amaran/Aputure projectors via Bluetooth at the same time as other CRMX projectors ?
Sidus One allows the CRMX and Bluetooth signal to be transmitted at the same time or can it only manage one ?
It can do both but cues dont work because Bluetooth is not fast enough.. i Hope they make it possible, i could live with slight delays.
Yes, in a later beta of Sidus Link Pro, there will be the ability to record both bluetooth fixtures and CRMX fixtures into the same cues. However when triggering these cues, the bluetooth fixtures will always have the bluetooth delay. Sidus one can do both Bluetooth and CRMX.
The one question I have is will sidus one also control amaran lights without CRMX at the same 44hz latency as lumenradio equipped lights? Making them work at the same level as CRMX enabled lights? That would be huge.
No - this is the entire point of CRMX. Bluetooth is the source of delay.
Bluetooth protocol will always have a bluetooth delay. This is a standard in the wireless bluetooth protocol to make sure that it is as compatible with old slow phones as possible. It was designed this way and will not be changed because one chinese manufacturer wants it to work differently.
Will the Sidus Link Pro be necessary for transmitting images to the Infinimat lights? Actually, how will images get implemented?
No, not necessary to control them but it will be possible to use it to control them if you want to.
Are there options for different diffusions?
Third party manufacturers in the USA make them.
1x universe or 4x universe? The Sidus One/Sidus Pro seem to show 4x universe.
Up to 4 universes, you can pair 4 times Sidus One. 4 universe device coming soon as far as I heard
Sidus One = 1x universe (that's what "One" describes).
@@Aputure-Tim_S_Kang Thanks Tim. So is @sydneysmit correct, that you can then add additional Sidus One modules to add up to 4x universe under the Sidus Pro app?
Correct
@@coreyfield copy that. Thanks. Looking forward to the manual getting finished and the new videos being released.
I'm tired of all these salesmen talking so confidently about how their systems are all magically amazing! Never, ever mentioning all the real world issues that crop up that leave you hanging on set, burning time, struggling to troubleshoot, etc. A little bit more honesty please. About the pitfalls, and how to deal with them. Jesus.
