    Seems like when patching a fixture with multiple pixels (Astera titan tubes). Sidus link pro will control all the pixels at once instead of assigning each pixel to a different slider. This is kind of a deal breaker and would love a fix.

    can you set up sidus-link-compatible but no CRMX (eg. LS600D non pro )and artnet CRMX lights (eg. Pavoslim panels? )

    • @shadowshapers
      @shadowshapers 5 місяців тому

      Yes, you can. If you have a CRMX receiver to plug in to their 5-Pin DMX port. CRMX receivers include the RatPac Cintenna 2, the Godox TimoLink RX, the Lumenradio Moonlite, and the Cinelex Skynode.

      You can connect all Aputure and Amaran devices via Bluetooth regardless of whether they have built in CRMX or not. Then with a CRMX transmitter you can connect to other devices that have built in CRMX (lumenradio) or use receivers for DMX devices like the Arri Skypanel. At the moment there are no Nanlite and Nanlux fixtures among the options, but I think it’s a matter of time. It is a beta version

    Still waiting for a public API to be able to skip the Sidus app altogether with a Streamdeck. Especially since announced on a tweet and still nothing. 😌

    Might be a dumb question, but why can't you just you the BT Sidus to do lighting cues? Rather than having to have the 'Sidus One' to enable Aputure products to work with the Sidus Pro app?

    when i add an aputure fixture via Bluetooth, i cannot create a queue as it states no DMX support. i then i have go to the fixture and link the CRMX - a step i didn’t see in the video here and not sure if needed but only way i can get it to work. is there a tutorial that provides in depth detail on using this with Aputure fixtures like the MT Pro, Infinity Bars, etc.

      At 3:04, We show linking with a CRMX transmitter. At this time, Bluetooth fixtures are savd it he quickshot and DXM fixtures are saved in the cues. We are working on ways to improve this. Also, more content will be out soon showing a much more in depth tutorial.

      @@bendynice4879 yes, i did see CRMX linking, what i was looking for was not having to perform that step considering i’m using an Aputure Fixture, Connecting with Bluetooth to an Aputure App, etc. i didn’t see any mention of configuring the crmx link on the fixture to the app - not the crmx transmitter - but the app. In the end, for each fixture i have to link crmx then manually configure the DMX information and configuration - was just hoping there would exist a simpler solution given they control the stack top to bottom.

      For bluetooth you’ll use quickshots instead of the cue, it’s pretty quick and easy

    I don't have a CRMX transmitter. Will I need a Aputure Sidus One to connect to my Quasar Rainbow (version 1, which has CRMX Lumenradio)? Or will Aputure Sidus link Pro connect straight to the Quasar Rainbow? Hope to hear back! :D

    Any tips on better live production connectivity. We find wireless connection is not reliable for live events.

    • @AputureDanielC
      @AputureDanielC 5 місяців тому +1

      Wired > CRMX > BT is the order of operations for live productions you should be avoiding any wireless when possible. I'd also suggest using a wireless frequency coordinator so that they can monitor and minimize the chance of competing products using the same frequency. CRMX if you must use wireless during a live event and I'd still limit it as much as possible, Id avoid BT as there can be a ton of devices that can cause inteferance.

      Most stage and live event lighting professionals prefer to use wired lighting controls over wireless lighting controls for show-critical cues and looks. To improve wireless production connectivity, I recommend you learn more about Radio frequency propagation, Radio frequency interference causes like rain and show, antenna polarity patterns, antenna gain, and radio frequency signal scanning to better understand methods by which you can improve your wireless connectivity in all professional environments.
