So I don't have a scale and tried to convert this to tsp/tbsp/cups. Of course these are approximate numbers because sometimes I have to round them out. Hope it's helpful. I made this and it came out great. ▶Ingredients 25g Unsalted butter - approx. 2 tbsp 25g Brown sugar - 2 tbsp 5g Dark brown sugar - 1 + 1/4 tsp 0.5g Salt - pinch 15g Egg - 1 tbsp i think 1g Vanilla extract - 1/4 tsp 60g Cake flour - approx. 1/2 cup 0.5g Baking powder - pinch 0.5g Baking soda - pinch 25g Dark couverture chocolate - 2 tbsp 120g Dark couverture chocolate - 3/4 cup 50g Unsalted butter - 4 tbsp 60g Egg - 1 egg 65g Brown sugar - 1/3 cup 1g Salt - pinch 45g All-purpose flour - 1/3 cup 5g Cocoa powder - 2 tsp 2g Baking powder - 1/2 tsp This makes about 7 cookies but I doubled the recipe and got 14 cookies. I expected it to be harder than it was to make it. I did have a slight problem where I couldn't get all the chocolate pieces chopped fine enough for the cookie dough and it was a bit difficult cuz it poked holes in the dough when trying to spread it out so try your best to chop it as fine as possible. Next time if I make these I will also make them smaller because the brownie is incredibly rich and so I can't eat a whole cookie.
@@ankishah2004 I'm not sure but people do use flax 'eggs' in baking as a substitute so it's worth a try. To make one flax egg it's 1 tbsp flax-meal + 3 tbsp of water and mix it and let it sit for about 15 mins and then you can use it like an egg. I haven't used it in cookies before though. You can just take a little bit out of this mix for the chocolate chip cookie part and use the rest for the brownie part and see how it turns out. I used an actual egg but I did take out 1 tbsp from the egg for the cookie part and used the rest for the brownie rather than break 2 eggs just to get a little for the cookie.
@@amelie4197 the cookie part requires so little egg that it's only about 1 tablespoon worth whereas the brownie part needs 1 egg, so what I do is choose a large egg.... just crack the egg you're gonna use for the brownie part and use a fork to pierce the yolk/ mix the egg and measure out 1 tbsp from that egg and use it in the cookie part then use the rest in the brownie part.. sorry if it sounds confusing but I did make the recipe just like this and it came out great
This is perfect! My friend has her birthday party tomorrow and I wanted to make a small dessert for everyone and just yesterday I saw your notification pop up and now I have all the ingredients and I’m gonna make it today! I love your channel so much and I’ve already trie a few of your recipes and they always turn out a hit!
@@khawlabounouh4852 sorry I forgot to update. They turned out great! I had to multiply the recipe by 4 and I ended up making around 22 cookies. They do expand a little bit when you bake them so I could have made more by making them slightly smaller but I’m extremely happy with how they turned out! I’d definitely recommend giving them a try
@@khawlabounouh4852 oh another thing I forgot to mention! Even though I timed both the brownie and the cookie recipe by 4, I ended up with nearly half the bowl left of brownie batter, so if you only want to make the cookies I’d multiple the brownie batter by a smaller amount than the cookie dough OR you can do what I did and use the rest of the batter to make brownies! A win win situation :D
Hi! I loooove this channel! I baked this delicious cookies last night and made some little modifications to the measurements following every step. At the end, i got about 22 cookies each one with the brownie on top (29g~) and no waist. If someone is interested here they are: For the first part; 75g butter, 70g dark brown sugar 2 tsp vanilla extract 1 egg 1g salt 180g cake flour 1.5g Bp 1.5g Bs For the brownie 1 large egg 80g brown sugar 50g butter 120g chocolate 70g flour 5g cocoa 2g baking powder 1g salt
Just made these! I would say a little less salt, they have definitely doubled the recipe in the video as theres no where near as much cookie dough for that spread and brownie, however the measurements Given are Proportionate. Also cut the chocolate really small as shown in the video, i got lazy and left some big chunks, and when it came to spreading the dough it had huge chunks protruding, and wouldn't let the dough spread. Kids enjoyed making it as i did! The sugar and egg did not froth like in the video and i’m thinking its because brown sugar has a lot of moisture as opposed to white. It didn't matter though as a-lot of air had to be expelled For a thick brownie batter. All in all a bit salty but was happy to try something new Thankyou!
I precisely measured the ingredients by weight and my dough was too wet to handle. It might be because of the hot Australian temperatures! But if anyone else has this problem, I overcame it by putting the flattened dough on a metal tray and leaving it in the fridge for 15 minutes. I then cut the shapes out of the cold tray (the tray kept the dough cooler for longer giving me more time to work). And I just kept repeating that until all the dough ran out… Its a long process but allows you to bake as you go!
Thank you for the delicious recipe! I made this last week and the brownie cookies came out perfectly! I found out they taste better the next day. I brought them to work and my coworkers loved them!!
I don't know why but i never really 100% succeed with all the recipe that you share here. And for information I've been baking for 7 to 8 years so wouldn't be because of my lack of practice or skills 😂
Thanks for creating such a yummy cookie. Is the cookie suppose to be soft the next day? Cookie was crispy the same day I bake it. Both are yummy but not sure what to expect. Thanks.
Hi there if any of you are thinking about making this recipe I have some tips here for you from my experience making it☺️🍪 ~ I used plain raising flour for the recipe and it worked just as well ~ I also used light brown sugar for all of it ~ It takes quite a long time to make so make sure you don’t preheat your oven too early as I did 😳 ~ if your dough is very sticky and soft like mine was, try adding flour to your board/rolling pin/ and a bit to your hands. ~ the first quantity of egg needed is equal to 1 egg and the second you need is roughly 3 eggs I think. ~you can use an electric whisker as it is much faster ~ your egg and sugar mixture may not be too frothy, mine were not that of a light colour but rather like a yellowish brown colour and was not frothy but it worked well. ~ when melting the chocolate and butter, I did not take the temperature of the water. Hope it helped!
