I'm just getting into the business. Where do you buy your remotes from and maybe a video of which tools are best and which ones you wish you NEVER bought?
Would that port location be the same for the 2018’s and up ?? I know the sgb is under the radio, but wasn’t sure about the bypass port ??? And glad to know the AD cable will work !
I own a locksmith company and a lot of times you’ll run in to the RFH being locked on the 2018 and up DC&J’s & your stuck & can’t do nothing which sucks. I actually just bought my wife a 2021 Chrysler Pacifica this weekend from the dealer and ordered me an extra OEM smart key because it only had 1 key and went to program it this morning and the RFHUb was locked so there’s no password so now I got to take it up to the dealer so they can program it for me which they’re not gonna charge me but still sucks when you do this for a living and you can’t even do it yourself & you got all the equipment when you run into this.
The instructions on the AutoProPad did NOT indicate pressing the "LOCK" Button at ANY time. Read the instructions BEFORE you start the process. You got LUCKY this time!
I was stuck in mountains and then someone came and do the same. Locks and unlocks but car only starts with pushing the start/stop button with the fob. Not without it. It says Key Fob not detected. What could be the reason?
@syedrizvi7813 It sounds like a refurbished key. If you have to tap the button to start the van, the key was not unlocked properly. You shouldn't have to tap the button with prox to start your van.
Would a 2019 pacifica with gateway module need the 12+8 bypass cable along with the 2011 cable to program fobs ? I take it for the 2017 you are only hooking into that port in the c pillar. Thanks
@@locksny Thanks, I plan on getting one of those 2011 cables. Here's what I ended up doing. I got a TOPDON T-Ninja Pro, it said 17 and 18 Pacifica it would pull the pin, but not the 2019 yet, So I asked a friend who works for Chrysler for the pin, He gave me a 4 digit pin, didn't work. So I drove to the dealer and he programmed the key for free. I spoke with Topdon and they said the pin is 5 digits just like your video. So now I'm going to check with another dealer and see if they can give me the 5 digit pin. I used just the 12+8 and probably would have had no problem if I had the right pin code.

It activates all of features the van has, if it was equipped with them.

Any auto locksmith wholesaler will have them.
Using APP just a choice of chance, or im508 take longer?
Last one I did I had no comms with the IM508 so I just used the ProPad.

oh I see. So the programming was done incorrectly or incomplete@@locksny this was expensive
@syedrizvi7813 The key that whoever bought to program in your van was unlocked incorrectly. It was obviously a refurbished key, not brand new OEM.
In other words. We c!an't do it!

19 should be the same way unless the Gateway has been locked.

@@jackroy6524 There are Two pin codes, 4 Digit for dealers and 5 digit for aftermarket tools. If you are using oem tools a 4 digit pin will work.
