I usually broil the chicken first to get a nice color and seal in the juices. then bake it. I think I am going to try to first one, I hope the potatoes do not come out too greasy,
During that part of video, I imagined serving it to my great-grandkids & encouraging them to try the potato "chips". I think they would be crispy... imho.🤷 I hope we both make & serve this appealing recipe to our respective families SOON! ENJOY 🙋

Looks sooooo good!! He used baking soda as a “brine” initially I assume. If you dust them with baking soda after seasoning, they will be crispier outside and still juicy inside.🎉
Being an Asian i want to know how to use western herbs and therefore i find this recipe interesting. When one wants to get the recipe fast they will find this video slow, however I do feel this clip is artistically arranged with background music and can be therapeutic and soothing to watch for some. Tried this tonight. Cooked 25 min on one side and 20 on other. Chicken still raw inside. Cranked up to 375f and going another 25 each side. Potatoes were good though.

I noticed you use the word baking soda which has to be what they meant to say but in the video they said baking powder

I would brine the chicken instead. Baking soda will make it taste soapy.
Some recipes use baking powder on chicken for crispy skin for frying .

He Smoothed the chicken you do not want to overcook since it’s cooking in the gravy this is what makes it juicy tender & not dry!
It is in 180°C you have to convert to °F which is 356°F 😅
