      @@MyAvaGrace I have searched for the video explaining how to fill Oil on the DPD drive. You mention that you have a tip in the following video, but I can’t find it?

    • @MyAvaGrace
      @MyAvaGrace  Рік тому

      It's really just a matter of filling and burping to ensure you get the correct amount in. Unfortunately we never got to make that video due lack of time.

    These drives are so simple once you know how they work

    Thank you! Great video. Suppose, its possible to add oil easily when upper unit dissambled directly in sterndrive interior

    • @MyAvaGrace
      @MyAvaGrace  Рік тому +1

      You can part fill, but best to finish once assembled, and make sure you burp the system

      @MyAvaGrace Great video as everyone has mentioned! I am in the middle of doing 2 legs using this method, now that I'm reassembling I would like to know about your easy refilling method and burping the system as you mentioned at the end of your 4th video. By the way, I've never done one of these before and have found your video very thorough and helpful, thank you!

    Hi, great videos, i understand much more about these now. Is it the same process with 280 legs?

    I couldn’t tell where that large o-ring goes? Is it all the way up to the mating surface or is it on the next step down?

    • @MyAvaGrace
      @MyAvaGrace  Місяць тому +1

      It should be to the step.

    Thanks for the instructive video. I have one question. What do you put between the gearbox and the stern? Water resistant sealant? Lot of tahnks to you! A boater from Finland

    • @MyAvaGrace
      @MyAvaGrace  Рік тому +2

      There should be a seal. But a good sealant that will release.

  • @francescoazzolina8062
    @francescoazzolina8062 6 місяців тому

    What type of sealant do you use to close the gearbox

    • @MyAvaGrace
      @MyAvaGrace  6 місяців тому

      Just a very thin smear of a jointing compound. One that remains soft. In theory the joint shouldn't need any so long as the faces are undamaged.
