People are overwhelmed and so disgusted at seeing limbs and gore in real time, I've seen some on twitter and it sends chills down my spine.They will never talk to the other side because they want instant solutions asap and anyone who is against that and is too disgusting to talk to. Arguably tech in some ways has made us this way. I'm an ABC and my views of freedom of speech definitely changed recently 😅
尽管我也在美国读了本科＋正在读硕士并且深刻体验到了这种感觉，不过我已经意识到与其迷惘和委屈，不如把自己的中国人身份和中国文化视角就当作自己的立场和出发点（因此我作为一个英语文学本科，现在却开始读《四书章句集注》了）。只要我依然来自于一个弱势国家和弱势文明，比我强的外人确实就没有义务了解我并充分尊重我，所谓的开放和包容只不过是美国社会表面上的装饰物而已。这也是为啥我现在讲话时尽量不中英文夹杂。
